Stoopid Reverse Beeper

Well anyone with an auto skyline will know how friggen annoying it is to put your car in reverse and have the beeper come on like you're driving a truck. I mean, surely japs arent that dumb not to know when their car is in reverse?

Anyway, anyone know how I can disconnect the reverse connection to the beeper? I want to leave the unit connected if i can, as i like the fact that the car beeps to let me know if I leave my lights on etc

PS I didnt know whether to put this in this section or general.. but mods feel free to move.

not sure where it would be. there is prbably a wire either off the ecu or the shifter.

find the actual beeper speaker

take the connectors out

Where is it? I can hear it but I cant see it would I have to pull the dash apart to get to it?

stick your head under the dash and you will hear where its comming from, its a smallish black box under dash on the drivers side

Ok, so I removed it, but now my central locking doesnt work!! Apparently it controls that too because when I plug it in all the doors lock again..

Anyone know which wire controls the reverse beeper? I like central locking!
