hey guys, do you have any issues with your powersteering belts. since i built my car to spec (600HP) i have changed 4 belts and only have driven 5k km. is this an issue @10k revs, because im gettin tired of changing balts like my underware. or are there super strong belts out there that i have to try out. i have used Gates belts, as these are the only ones available for my car here. i think that the dudes that drive track can help me out, its no secret i abuse my car now and then.

I can't help you with your question sorry but I am looking at an alternative to Nissan to get my belts, where have you purchased yours?

I would have a play with the belt tension to be honest.

Also check your pulleys are not out of alignment.

Well i buy my belts from the US. They are gates belts, they do ten to hold up very well, but if i have to rush to work 2am and i find a free highway in front of me i ten to push the car. my pulleys are all lightened pulleys. had them made in the US. and the belt tension is good i think cuz it doesnt slip, or maby its on to tightly??

Yeah nah you are probably over tightning them. Doing them up just by judging the tension yourself is ok if you dont give it heaps of loving, even then I would still tighten all belts up to the factory recommended spec.

Look in the service manaul for the specific tension for each belt. Also on screw rod it should have a indicator on it showing where you stop, like on myn its some white paint.

Try re-tensioning all belts and see how you go.
