hi guys i need to upgrade my brakes on my rb26 cefiro as it will be running around the street and track at around 470rwhp. and now have the problems of brake choice. i spoke to a guy at just jap and he has a set of the new G4 8 PISTON FRONT BRAKES WITH 356MM ROTORS and he said that there awsome and are miles better than the brembo he used to run but im also look at a set of TRUST GREX brakes which are smaller from nengun in japan.? at the end of the day its a street car that will see 50/50 time spent between causal track work and the street. any input from people with brake upgrades would be good thanks

ok thanks guys im going to go with the 8pot g4 set-up from darren at just-jap they have down some track work and have proven results so for the price nothing come close

i have 343mm f40 brembos glowing bright orange on the old pac. so you will neeed some seriose brakes if you plan on doing some trackwork.

not dissing the d4 thingies but..... im not to sure on the materials they use and more importantly the rotors. if anyone has sucesfully got them red hot literaly and not had any warpage/crack issues then go for it

Just got mine as well and i must say they are quite well made i was surprised.

Installation instructions are just a little strange but easy enough to work through. Had my old ones off and new items on in about 2 hours. About the only real issue was the best way to secure the brake line so i got some P clips and used those check that the line was not rubbing anywhere and went out and ran them in.

First off i was not too impressed, didn't feel much better than the standard items. So let them cool dowm completely as instructed and when for another run 3 hours later and talk about diferent, big improvement after they had cooled completely and used again, not sure why though. Can feel the pressure of the shoulder straps pushing back at me when giving the brakes a good push now.

I wouldn't trust it to pull enough heat out if only using the stock size rotors. I have my fronts smoking after 5 laps of Sandown with 280mm rotors and R32 calipers in a 1200kg car.

I am using slotted 280mm rotors and R32 gtr calipers with custom pads and after 3 laps at sandown I had severe brake shudder through the steering wheel and brake fade! Sounds like yours are doing better than mine!

im goin for the g4 justjap 8pots very good value and have proven results from people that have them and use them on the track. not people talking shit sayin there crap because there dont have a big brand name on them. speak the darren at just-jap he runs this setup on his track gtr and will tell you there the goods

Not knocking the product at all, I have no experience with them, and not disputing that Just Jap know their shlt, but keep in mind that he sells them, so he's not going to say they're crap. Having said that someone on here runs them and likes them.

Nismo: Really?? Jeez, guess my project MU pads and rotors are doing the trick then!
