thrtytwo
i only picked up my car last thursday and when i drive it, not every time, but sometimes in first and second while taking off, not giving it ANYHTING, maybe at like 2000 RPM theres a noise from the back of the car, first time i thought it was the wheels chirpin, then when it happened again i realised there couldnt possibly be enough revs. anyways i think maybe its the drive shaft or diff ? any ideas ? its kind of a squeeky 'errr' Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/138889-wierd-noise-in-1st-and-2nd-when-taking-off/ Share on other sites

mad082
actually, is it only just after you have let the brakes off? it may be that the piston is a bit sticky and not releasing straight away. the missus' pulsar does that. also check your brake pads to see how worn they are. they have an indicator tab on them that rubs when they are low to let you know that they are low. it may just be that at low revs you can hear it, and other times there is too much outside noise that you can't hear it.
