Hicas Tie Rod Ends.

Ok all you experts, does anyone know the Nissan part number for the HICAS tie rod ends or even better an aftermarket source for them? Mine are a bit too worn.

Well ladies and gentlemen,I found the answer to my own question. Just in case anyone else ever needs to know the Nissan part number is 55154-30POO. This is for the ball joint assembly and yes,the three letter suffix really is POO. Must mean something different in Japanese. Fulcrum Suspension outlets can also get them for you. $80 each.

out of interest u didnt ask about the hicas rack ends, the bits that screw intot he rack? Mine have a bit too much play in them, but ball joints are ok.

tierod ends on r32 are actually installed in the rear hubs and from memory the genuines are about the same price.

The steering 'arms' that fit directly to the rack are about $120 each genuine. If its the ones in the hub then you should consider replacing the other hub bushes.

Fulcrum actually developed their tools for replacing the R32 hub bushes on my car in Brisbane, the way all the links on the hubs stick out makes it very difficult to use a normal press to do the job.

Yeah due to the space and angle its almost impossible... well actually I found it totally impossible to use a conventional press ended up just giving in and taking it to a place on Kamholtz Court who funnily enough are the Gold Coast Fulcrum Specialists and they had no problems completing the task. I never knew they had a specific tool just for this application... glad I lucked out and took it to a fulcrum place.

Yep there is a slight size difference but its negligible and they are much beefier and cheap as chips as a lot of ppl buying front cuts for RB25's usually throw away these parts and are glad to make anything from them.

yeah.. those guys did mine about 12 months ago as well.. They are pretty good with the old skylines.
