Oil changes

I've tried to do a search to clear a few things up but I found a few different opinions. Basically after how much oil does an R33 GTST gearbox, diff and engine take??

These are about right, more than happy to be corrected though

Clutch Fluid - 1.1 L required

Engine Oil - 4.7 L required

Gearbox Oil - 6 L required

are you sure gearbox oil is 6L from what i read its max 3.8 or something

use 3.6L for the 25det 5 spd manual box

what about the diff??

Diff has about a litre, probably less.

I did the gearbox last weekend and I'd say 3.8litres would be spot on.

I'm posting a few pictures and explaination of how I did it if anyones interested.

Its very basic.

You just need to put the car up on stands at the front, crawl under and find the filler plug first, its on the drivers side side of the gearbox and needs a 1/2 inch socket driver.

loosen off the filler plug (must do first, as if you can't get this off, you can't get oil in.)

get a pan and now undo the drain plug, this plug has a magnet attached to it to attract all loose metal fillings. let the oil drain.

i waited 30 mins and then started the refill process, just clean the drain plug, replace and start filling oil, you know the box has enough oil when it start to exit via the filler hole, I topped it off 3 times to make sure it was exiting oil and not excess on the pump i used to get the oil in the box.

Once your sure its full, replace the filler plug...done.

Just don't forget to refill the gearbox with Redline Shockproof Gearbox oil if your serious about the maintenance on your car.

ummm, errrr...I think I kind of deleted them...(spewing massive!)

I'm going to take the photos again of the locatios of the plug...I can replcate everything bar the photo of the drain plug.
