Current Skyline Prices ?

Iam currently looking at buying a car, ive a look at a few websites for prices n stuff.

Just wondering what peoples thoughts in here are on what they think are ok prices for r33 gts25t either 97 or 96 manual coupes, either stockers or with minimal mods in sa both private and dealer.

A series II with minimal mods but in good nick was around $18/19k when i was looking a few months ago.

Yeh as Howie said.........and then a S1 is pretty cheap these days also. Just remember when buying a car to check the service history and to get a check done on the car to make sure it's mech A1!

Check the chassis rails for damage.

They are pretty reliable cars, not that much really goes wrong with them apart from the usual servicing and wear/tear bits and pieces.

I wouldn't pay much more than 15 grand for a stock series 2 now.

I'd be luckly to get much over 20 for my r34.

The value has dived big time the past few months.

Yeah ruffly the price i was thinking for a dealer one for the s2.

Was going to come down to boostworks the other week and have a watch of peoples cars on the dyno, work nights though so never got up in time.

Was gonna get inpecta car to do a check when i find a car i like, does boostworx do that sort of stuff as well ?

Yeh you should have come down for a look, we were still there after lunch also!

You might wanna give Shaun a call about that, I'm sure he could, but he is quite busy these days and i don't know what he would charge for that sorta thing!

Boostworx do it, its ~$95 but theres usually a 2 week waiting list as hes a busy guy. I got mine checked at tillbrooks for $100 with a days notice. Wasn't the most thorough check but they did a compression test which was the main thing I wanted.

Had a look around the car yards today was interesting lol , couple of nice ones in redline and sinergy. Weird that redline seems to paint the back part and wheel arches of nearly all the cars they have there, worries me a bit Is this a major prob or in the end if mechs look at it and its ok, dont stress about it ?

Sinergy had a nice white s2, had a clear plastic skyline badge on the boot thought they were all ment to be colour coded on the s2's ?

i wouldnt worry about the painted wheel arches and stuff mine came like that from a dealer... also 2 secconds arround the corner from tilbrooks is a little import yard hes got a couple of nice lines go say hello to him hes a very nice chap too

If its a mid-late 1995 model it could be a s1.5.

yes very courteous he pointed me in the direction of import spares cause he couldnt help we had a yarn over a few skylines

Prices are dropping all the time.

I couldnt sell my 4 door 33 with some nice mods and power figures last year for 15k. Dont rush and a good deal should come up.

Lol if its not more then 20k then comeon down lol, else whip will be required on your behalf to flog the bank manager for more money
