Check that info. I think some of it is wrong.

R33 GTR calipers will bolt straight up if you use GTR rotors. R34 will need your hubs drilled out, not a big job, but why pay more for the R34 calipers only to have to mod your hubs. If you are going to do it then may as well throw braided lines and good pads in, otherwise the weakest link could mean a good setup is ordinary

Look up the piston sizes of the calipers..i think you will be surprised...GTSt calipers actually have more piston surface area...so dont worry about the master cylinder. See how it goes, if you find your current master cylinder is dead, or dies in the future then consider you may have to change it. Though personally i dont think you will need to

Well lucky my posts come with a liberal sprinkle of "I think" and "my guess is"

Well that is interesting, the 33GTR brembo calipers bolt on to the 33GTST hey??? I was under the impression the mounting bolt spacing was different. I was looking into a brake upgrade about a year ago and I was sure someone told me they would not fit... damm.

i can tell you 100% it's the same. also the same as 32 GTR, and 32 GTST. the only ones that are different are the 34 GTR calipers but the spacing is the same, just the bolts are larger so you need to drill out the mount holes on the hub.

thanks :(

do you know if the brake lines are the same too?

Nah, nah, nah...sorry. Did what i say read that way...just pointing out that my "thoughts" were different to yours....and trying to clarify that its not a big or difficult job....sorry if i sounded like a twat (thats probably because i really am a twat  )

  • 7 months later...

so will the 33r brembo calipers i put on my 33t mess with the abs ? will it prevent or allow to much force due to more efficient brakes ?

I mean to add 33r calipers to my setup and have been searching through and found this chestnut. what are the real world benefits ? will they outlast my stock calipers on a track ? I do bleed my brake fluids and I do run decent pads, I also have removed many guards for improved airflow. I can get a full set for 1k, existing pads included... probably shite but will it end up a worse setup or is it the same and essentially end up with pure rice ? improved braking ? the sumy's on the back are bigger than the brembos ? if thats true then wouldnt hte abs sort the extra bias to the rears ?

is this a worthwhile upgrade? sure its an improvement but very minor from what i have heard... there is not a big differerence between caliper sizes so i cant see how they would perform that much better??

Spend your money on Series 4000 rotors, braided lines, and good pads unless you'r just after the rice effect...in which case get the Brembos and chrome plate them so everyone can see :action-smiley-069:
