Jamezilla
Hehe - I left the windows down most of Friday to get that 'new rubber' smell out. They do protrude a few mm from the guards, and I think there's a slight rub on the rears when you hit bumps at speed, but a -ve camber adjustment should fix that. As far as lowering goes - yeah, the front could come down a smidge, but I don't want to lose any drivability with driveways, speedhumps etc. Will talk to Jeff when he does the camber/alignment - see what we can do Very happy with them though - the whole red/grey theme really works well. There's a guy in Sydney with silver 19" RS's on his blue Evo - looks good, but I think they are a bit too big. 18"s are perfect IMO. phunky_monkey
The 19's look awesome, but 18's would def. be the better choice I reckon handling wise Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/139359-evomalution-is-here/page/9/#findComment-2953024 Share on other sites
Snowman
The 19's make the brakes look silly as well. The EVO brakes are plenty big enough but when you put 19's on they look way too small. ferni
Nice one James.... will need some decent camber to get the rears inside the guards.... hmmm That blue evo with 19"s looks pretty hot - his rims dont seem to be sticking out? saff_cossie
The blue one is on Evo Oz, very nice car. I like the bright gold Advan RS's for the blue personally. KamikazeR33
i agree with al but the 19's fit the guards perfectly the rear could do with jacking up an inch tho y does the rear sit lower in evo's? Roy
18s or 19s i dont think it matters. As long as its low... and that blue EVO looks great becasue its low. That blue one remins me of the one in Singapore with the CE28s. All are very nice rims Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/139359-evomalution-is-here/page/9/#findComment-2953307 Share on other sites
SS8_Gohan
black 18's > silver 19's. now, pick the fastest car at P1, and make the Evo quicker what would be the quickest car you guys have their? Jamezilla
We have a Murcielago for top end, and an Ariel Atom for bullshit acceleration. All cars (bar the RS4 Avant) will be in town soon, so I'll let you know the full fleet. Newest one is a white 997 GT3, with a 575 Maranello looking like being on the books too. Should all pool up and get an SAU annual membership But, back on topic... I think the 18"s are big enough and am super happy with them. Some red (well... pink) locknuts going on today and the Golgo plates will return soon to complete the package. Only other thing I'm keen to add are the Damd carbon side/rear skirts. Al
Pure sex James!! Top job mate. Red and grey/charcoal combo FTW!!!! You made the right choice with the 18's. 19's may fill out the guards better, but you sacrifice handling, response and rwkw. I know from experience . For the past year I have been contemplating whether I should go 18's and sell the 19's .
