i still have issues with my brakes,

apparently our mechanic says we dont need new brake pads cause there is heaps left, and u dont need to machine the disc brakes unless ur goin to put on new brake pads. so i guess i have to wait until my pads wear out.

The issue is that there is only one sqeak coming from one wheel not all. Front right. how can i get rid of this squeak without replacing brake pads or machining em (according to my mechanic dont need to do it now, its a waste of money). The squeak doesnt happen all the time only sometimes. Not hard or soft brekaing it seems to do it at a specific point.

do i buy a spray or something? HElp please?

i have the same issue, changed pads tiwce now and machined the disks

nothing seems to work i have been told it is because there is very little braking done by the rear etc, i wish someone would just fix this sh*it

hey maybe DBA steve can sort it out

If the discs are glazed you should probably machine them anyway because the glazing doesn't help your stopping power.

You don't have to replace the pads just because you machine the discs, you do however need to sand them back so they're flat. Get some 80 grit emery and sand the pads back until they're flat again. Be careful you don't chamfer them off on a strange angle. Also wet the pads before sanding so you don't inhale any of the fibres.

The anti-squealing compound helps but doesn't always work 100%, especially on the harder pads like RB74's.

Hey Champinco you still having this problem? Im having the exact same problem. I just got my car yesterday and unfortunately after about a 100k its started squeaking. Not a normal squeak but more a crackly squeak like brake pad dust or something? And its only comming from my front left.

Did machining it help?
