To be honest, if you are going to use it as a everyday car, stick with a gtst. They are much more usable for everyday driving. The GTR is great but is wasted on the roads. Thats my opinion. I've got a 32GTR btw. In terms of costs, it shouldn't be too different from a gtst, if its a very clean example. Otherwise, it will cost a arm and a leg.

On a cruise or down at the track, its definately the right car!

I drive mine everyday and would prefer something that is a bit more responsive and comfortable as a everday car. I'm thinking of getting a yaris Its much friendlier on the wallet and you don't have to worry as much when driving around.

I guess the trick is to find someone that has had theirs running for long enough to find out, and that hasnt been hit up too hard with repair bills that when it was working they werent scared too much...

I shall now go run away and hide from all the nasty gtr owners that will want to bash me.

Mine hasn't missed a beat since i bought it. The fuel consumption is high because of my daily use. But when I need to I can put the pedal down and I am away, and that to me is worth every cent!

I would like to get a S14 or Ceffy for a daily driver though and keep the GT-R for more special occasions.

actually, I find that my gts-t is wasted on the roads as well - the more i drive it the more I want to take it to the track for a bit of fun. Any skyline, I reckon is wasted on these roads - but thats my opinion.

Edit - once i get a proper full time job, Im actually planning to save the r33 for the track and thinking of getting something like a little jazz or something for daily driving

If my insurance would cover you I would lend it. Mine is worth $35k to me if it gets written off, which is fine by me!

Right on the money there,but gtst is ok for the road, especially if its fairly stock. Got enough power, enough room and good comfort. For just a everyday car, can't go past little 4 cycs! I drove a yaris recently and did 250 km for $12

Depends on your tolerance levels to whether something like a GTR is suitable day-to-day. My GTS-T on NISMO coilovers was my only car during university, so that was my daily driver. Now that I am older (and wiser?), I have a Toyota Yaris YRS 5-door for daily driver (which incidentally uses about half the fuel of the skyline...) and the Skyline is kept for weekend use. This has unfortunately has started a vicious circle, because now that the skyline is not a daily driver anymore, I want to replace it with something more hardcore... I was thinking of swapping my white R32 GTS-T for a white R32 GTR, and seeing how long before my friends and family noticed...

Its funny, the first time in a GTR is something you will remember - and as corny as it sounds, words cant describe its frantic acceleration!

The first time you go in one, make sure its a quickish one

From a standing start, without launching if your driver redlines 1st and 2nd, you'll know what i mean. And launching them is even better! Hold 7000rpm, let go of the clutch and get ready for 2nd gear - when you have it in 2nd, look in the mirror and see how much ground you've covered, but dont forget 3rd gear by that time

It feels like your in a normal car, until you decide to play around.

Then you know your unlike the rest.

Turning corners on 275mm tyres on ten inch rims is great.

The holden or ford behind you slow down to 30kms so they don't loose control and you have taken it at 50

You notice they try to catch up but can't.

Power after a few mods though makes you want more and more mods for more power...its a sickness

Alot of attention is payed to you and no-one lines you up.......a bit of respect I think.

It is trully beautifull to have spent 45K for pure pleasure than 200K+ for a porsche turbo.

I always have a smile on my face when I get out of the car...

Drive a really fast one first like mine then get back into your normal car that would suck

i was taken for a drive in an R33GTR about two weeks ago with about 400awkw (twin 2835's, fully worked engine). It was completely stripped inside with just two seats and some gauges.

I think i blew my load a few times and when the driver launched at 7500rpm from a standstill all i can say is....

it was the most unbeleivable drive i've ever been in and i want one.

well i fell in love with the GTR when a friend of mine asked if i can run his 700HP monster in for him. At the time i was a broke student, and drove a honda prelude (make 1984 and it was 2001). i thought when i get my diploma, its is the first thing ill buy. well i bought my car 4 months after i graduated and started working. blew the gearbox to bits after 3 months, and for a year i saved up to do make my now 600HP monster. but my GF doesnt like me driving my car, so we bought a ford explorer (friggin slow). and only on sunday she allows me to touch my baby.
