an appropriate FMIC for my application?

core dimensions :=

Width = 400mm

Height = 225mm

Depth = 60mm

end tanks are well shaped for flow even though its an apexi nock off with outlets aimed at the stock piping route. Im going the stock piping route becuase i dont want the return piping replaceing my guards and panels that a 1m long IC would force me to do.

My application is aimed at the 1 bar 14psi mark toward the end of the power end of my buildup. So will this be useful for around summer in sydney weather durring the daily driver duties and the track days with less extreme ambient temporatures ?

Im looking for the best response (yes stock piping route i get it) while maintaining a decent intake temp to the charge air so im trying to match appropriately. :)

should be fine mate at around that boost level.

nice medium between the stock one and the common 600x300x75 styles.

will provide better cooling than standard while still providing nice response being of a "reasonable" size.

some guys use r34 gtt sidemount intercoolers on r32/33 for a mild upgrade so this should go one step better.

anyhow, its gotta be better than the stock item!! you'll fing the real difference wont be giving you anymore outright power (only ability to do so) but it will make it more enjoying to drive in the summer months as it will suffer less from heat soak.

    • So, as for the intake parts, part supply/delivery is currently problematic  As the parts are not made in the US (probably China) new tariffs are making things slow to happen, thanks Trump The joint I am getting the intake parts from, FAB9, are in the US, typically they are delivered to the US then sent out from there to, well, here, or wherever  FAB9 are currently looking at shipping directly from the supplier to avoid tariff hits,  so now I'm waiting until that little chestnut gets sorted out My impatience is blossoming nicely

    • Actually a good idea. But if the bolt I tried before was really a M11x1 as I suspect, and it kinda went in but was really loose, I think it's some imperial thread nonsense as well. But I have no 7/16-24 to try with.
    • It's alright, working with all these scraps of information from the web is making me question myself as well. It is really easy to find part numbers but never what the specs of these stupid, mostly discontinued parts, is. Thanks for your effort at least I learned something about threads today
