Hey guys, i think i've got an injector problem.

I've noticed a stain lately on one of the intake pipes just under injector 1 in my engine bay - wasn't sure where the stain came from as i thought that petrol wouldn't stain and could be oil related (although the injector did look a little wet).

Upon degreasing the area, i noticed the stain coming back. Today i was giving the motor a rev in the engine bay and looking closely at the injector....on light throttle i could see a very fine mist coming from about the middle of the injector, and then a small sort of bubble sitting under the injector.

I have some photos attached here:

What should i do with this? Can i repair the injector, or should i go ahead a buy a new one as i know they're not deer for the standard RB20DET injectors.

Is it safe to continue driving like this?

Anyone have any RB20DET injectors for sale? (Standard injectors are red ,they are a JECS injector and

the number on the side is A46-000001)

Thanks in advance,

Steve.

Yeah it will be the injector leaking from the body o-ring between the plastic top and metal body.

It’s an unserviceable part and will require replacement ASAP if you wish to prevent a fire hazard.

Either get a new one or get a s/hand one and get it ultrasonically clean before putting it into your engine.

From memory the rb20 injectors are a 270cc high impedance type.
