HAve you looked at the 3.4l stroker kit? I know its a little bit more, but its good value if you can stretch a grand or two more.

By the time you by rods, pistons, rings, rod bolts and bearinigs, and balance you're around $3k - $3.5k

3.4L stroker has a new crank, rods, pistons, bolts, bearings and rings and is $5k. I think it is already balanced.

WHen you think about it, $1500 really isn't that much more for a torque monster. Plus you wouldn't have many lag issues.

WHERE the f**k u getting these prices from.... $3k for rods, pistons ect.... what are they beryllium ?? or are u buying these and adding on the miner tax ??

well..I just checked and the prices have dropped a little since i looked last. But pretty close..

GOOD Pistons & Rings $1400

Spool Rods: $700

Rod Bolts: $200

Bearings: $200

Balance: $400

Crank Collar & Fitted: $200

Total: $3100

Crank journals \ Block tunnels might need machining - $possible $500 - $1k depending on what needs to be done..

I'd even get the crowns of the pistons and the combustion chambers HPC'd. Price isn't too bad. Just need to balance after this is done.

3.4 Stroker, with all of those parts, already balanced with a brand new crank that is capable of high revs, is only $5k..

Then buy a GTR one day and transfer this bottom end to it... lol

To me it just seems like a better buy and more piece of mind.

I want to stick with the RB25. For what I want it to be, anything over an RB26 is useless. I'm not a racer, drifter or anything. Just want a safe motor and tune that has some balls that MIGHT have a chance against a SIL80 that will be around the streets shortly.

She'll be a screamer. Can't wait to hear it on gate, haha. I don't know who is tuning it yet, he hasn't told me I don't think. But deadset, the turbo on it is going to suck small children in if he drives past a school or even a pregnant woman.

That's the kit I was looking at. Want to keep 2.5L, but the reality is that even the $2,000 for that is out of reach at the moment when im paying off stuff, saving for a house and saving for an overseas holiday on apprentice wages. The 33 is taking a backseat to more important things at the moment, but one day I'll get a rebuild kit, spray and tidy up the engine bay, and make the engine look pretty like my VL RB30

Then it will be 24psi of HKS fury pumping into that engine haha

im gonna hate goin back to apprentice wages :(

HKS GT2835 KAI

Bit of a let down ATM but trying to work with HKS to work it out

243rwkw @18psi

But I think I accidentally knocked the timing back a bit when I put my new timing cover on. Will check that and then see if it feels any better
