Crank should be getting balanced over the next few days. So I can finally start putting shit together :)

Got over the idea of cc-ing it. The shape of the piston domes and how it all sits just makes it more trouble then its worth. I already know its going to be between 8.5 - 9:1 so that's all good.

Get it all together and work out what colours I'm gonna paint everything. Sick of looking at the block how it is at the moment. Will look much nicer with some paint on it :)

Haha i have a couple of flat brim hats in the cardboard, the car will be dual purpose Rob just a matter of swapping tires and geometry, just wanna build something crazy and over the top, all my ideas i've wanted to do over the years put into one car.

Big f**k off GT Wing check! Low as f**k check! Massive deep dish wheels check! Sidepipe Titanium Exhaust check! V-mount intercooler/radiator check! Fully stripped out no dash and one seat check! Front splitter and Canards that would decapitate someone Fark yeah check!

Drive it like i stole it and hang the hell on, if it doesn't scare the shit out of me every time i drive it, white knuckling the bastard the whole lap and my arsehole chewing on that Bride seat then i'm afraid i have failed this project lol.

Haha that's brilliant, if you had a passenger seat i would of said you should get one of those dash stickers that say "SHUT THE f**k UP I GOT THIS!"

WTF are they doing with your engine Rob hand build they parts with a hacksaw and file, ring them slack kents up and put some fire under there arse, have you already payed them in full yet?

Haha yeah if freaking love that sticker should put one on the R32 lol

f**k that man you have paid in full it should be ready, i would have paid half now and half when i get it, that's ridiculous man who is doing the build. Does not take that long to build an engine, our Drag engine didn't even take that long, and it has custom built internals and we never paid the full bill until we went down and picked it up.

I don't mind to be honest... I know where it is and shit. JHH Racing is doing it. I trust him and he knows what he is doing. It is because of communication issues that its taking so long.

Shoulda done a JSA before I sent it down and made sure POS.comm was a control...

I hardly think anyone can call Will from JHH Perf. Engineering 'slack'.... Especially not when he builds most SEQ workshop motors, including Godzilla's..... One of the very few he doesnt is Elite's!

He currently has 8-10 motors sitting there..... I sort of doubt Rob's or mine are on the 'ultra urgent' list.....

What i'm getting at is if you generally have already paid something in full you shouldn't have to wait a lifetime to get it. E.g when you order a custom set of rims from Rays that take 3-4 months to be made you usually pay halve up front and the other halve when its ready to be shipped etc.

I know where you are coming from, Ben, but I also understand Will's side too. Total sercurity into the work

nothing worse than ordering $$$$$$ parts and the the guy disappears, only paying enough to cover half.

The only reason I was getting the shits is because I didn't know what the go was with it. Now I do, I have restored faith.

    • They see me rollin' they hatin'....... Took me most of the day to make the necessary mods to the mounts to make them fit the car.  Fortunately I was able to just use the mounts that came with the rotisserie. The rear ones are really secure, the front I feel i might reinforce a bit more as it doesn't seem like enough attachment to the vehicle. I'm sure it's fine but better to be safe than (extremely...) sorry.  I drilled and tapped thread into additional M12 holes to each car mount where it attaches to the rotisserie as an extra fail-safe. Without them the side to side movement is just restricted by the allen head pinch bolts, nothing actually goes though the beam. Does now! I still need to adjust the rotisserie to get the car centred in terms of centre of gravity. If it's too high or too low relative to the rotational centre line of the car, it will be like a turtle and roll onto its back or as it currently sits, I dont think I'd be able to rotate it as it sits as it needs to lift the whole car up as it rotates. Ain't happening... I'm going to be nervous as hell the first time I go to spin it on its side...
    • Oh yes done this when the window started flopping around.  Turns out the guides that run along the rail chanel had crumbed way. Took off the door card and pulled out the window mech, then the window, which you have to pull out through the top. As said unbolt the guide rail and don't spend 30 minutes getting frustrated trying to find a way to slide it out upwards cause that don't frigging work. Drop it down and out through the door hole. All I did to repair it was slice some 10mm clear plastic tube, vertically, then screw it to the guide rail both sides. This tubing rolls inward on both sides and leaves a gap wide enough to hold the window. To finish all I did was lube the plastic tube with olive oil and Bob's your uncle . . . well if he has the operation he can be your Aunt ! !  10 bucks in plastic tube and another 5 minute job done again . . . . YEH BULLSH#T ! My love for Skylines knows no bounds !
    • So was there a solution to this problem? I’m having this issue now.
    • not expensive, just irreplaceable if you don't go sub 60 at wakie in that thing people will start talking
    • I haven't replaced that, but I have had the doors apart on the r32 a couple of times The door skin will be held on by a combination of clips and bolts, just take it slowly and make sure all the sneaky hidden bolts are out Once the skin is off you should be able to pop that piece off pretty easily, looks like there are only 2 bolts holding it on
