Just watched a video by a cyclone chaser and he basically said that the rainfall we're going to get over the next 3 days is going to be close to 1000ml.. meant to be 300ml today and tomorrow and friday.. Starting to get quite nervous about leaving my car parked in a potential flood zone and at my house which is the same story. Wish i had a garage fuuuuuuuuuu.

I'm over it already, pointless us being at work going to have no customers when it's pissing down rain. My backyard was almost flooded this morning lucky i had my car locked up in the garage at work overnight

My 2013 FJ Cruiser has been finally ordered won't be here March so time, have started ordering some parts for it. It will pretty much look like the yellow FJ below, except mine will be White and have slightly smaller tires. Can't wait to start tearing shit up. :yucky:

Coming soon:

- King Shocks 2-3" Lift

- Road Armour Bullbar

- Mickey Thompson Classic Lock II Black 17x9 Rims

- Mickey Thompson MTZ 285/70 R17 33" Tires

I'm actually looking at something smaller. Anyone got opinions of a Ford Kuga?

I know they are only a small SUV, but I just want a simple daily for now. They have the 5 cylinder turbo volvo motor in them, same as the XR5. 150kw and 300nm and AWD. Should easily hit over 200kw with an edit.

With a decent engine and AWD, I thought it might be a good setup.

and yes, I know Bennys FJ would probably run right over the top of it, lol.

Go for a Prado Jono.. 150 series (current model) a couple of years old with low km's is going to cost you mid 50's depending on the model. I would go for a GXL personally.

Keep in mind too a Toyota is going to hold it's value better than most other cars in the market and they are damn reliable. I have a few here at work mate.

Prado is the same chassis as the FJ Cruiser, same engine etc. and the FJ is 50K new. All other Toyota's are over priced and they come with f**k all features compared to other car makers, only paying for the name.

Shocks and Bullbar ordered now i'm broke :( not a bad way to spend 6K, still deciding on rims its a hard choice, i sent a email to USA for a Set of TRD Beadlock rims, and Transit Tyres in Mackay wanted $480 a tire for MT MTZ .... f**k that can get BFG Mud Terrains for Tirerack.com for $200 each.

I agree Ben, but i prefer the Prado interior probably the only thing i don't like about the FJ is the square windscreen doesn't feel like there's much vision out the front of the car but other than that i like them.

    • I did not go to GTR Festival. It's quite a long drive and the car wasn't dialed in yet. I also wanted to see how the racing portion went before going. From what I can tell the classes were not heads up, index, or bracket - just whoever has the quickest ET wins. Never heard of that sort of thing before and maybe some people like it but it's not my cup of tea. I don't suspect I'll go if that is how the racing is done. I did get the car out three times and had issues each time. Some were my error - haven't raced the car in over two years - and others were parts. Had trouble getting the clutch to slip correctly and remembering how it was set up in the Haltech. Broke some drivetrain parts as well that couldn't be fixed in a couple days to get back out. Season definitely didn't end the way I wanted but at least the bearings are still fine! Not a fleck of material in the filter. Really hoping next year is the year I can actually test this car properly.
    • find it funny everyone claims different fuel chains, do different things with their fuel blah blah blah. We don't have that many fuel terminals in Australia. The fuel tanker trucks drive into the terminal, fill up, and drive directly to the service station and dump out. The majority of fuel you get, is coming out of the same terminals. The variation is actually at the individual service stations and how good their tanks are, as well as how much turn over they actually have. Older fuel stations, that haven't had their tanks replaced are going to end up with the worst fuel. Also a lot of older stations have shit design, and shit maintenance, and end up with more water absorption into the tank. This is when you then get a bad batch of fuel. Other shit things happen, like tanker drivers have a f**k up, and starting to unload the wrong compartment on their truck into the wrong tank.
    • Yeah go with that one
    • This one?? In other news: I cannot tell the difference between my red MX5 with the silver grey hard top......... and the Ferrari 599XX EVO, they might as well be twins, well.......apart from the big wang hanging off the back of the Ferrari...🤔🤣, without the wing they are identical
