So who actually has a car that runs at the moment?

Think its about time we had a cruise or something. But all depends on who has a car to drive

Nah got no cars except the R32 which does not go cruising.

Yeah its not exactaly a stealth cruiser :P

Was just thinking you still have the NUR33 plates...... What are they going on next? Or are they just wall posters now?

All this talk about cars annoys me.. I want to buy another but I don't know what to buy.

Any suggestions?

Buy anything lol, GTR's are good but they come with a very expensive Tax epically R34's just ask Kingy, High Quality aftermarket parts are super expensive (Been there done that) and if not done right has great potential to bite you in the arse hard like any RB engine would. My choice of car at the moment would be Evo IX hands down. Cheap to purchase, cheap to buy parts for and handle anything you can throw at it.

My missus has given me the green light for my next project car 67 - 69 Chevy Camaro Coupe with LS9 conversion Old school car with New School running gear with a JDM style to it, will be a few years before that happens lol. Starting to research how that's gonna go i want a nice weekend cruiser with infinite Nm of torque :woot: .

I got one in Victoria street a few years ago. Never got around to paying it and never heard anything about it again. Maybe just lucky

definitely lucky! it says on the ticket that if its not paid the balance will increase. i have til 11th next month so whatever ill just pay it. still annoying as f**k though

I'm up for a drive for sure, can bring a few more guys with Skylines too.

Buy a V35 Jono :) Leon's missus has just got a white one

Havent seen it in the flesh but it looks pretty damn nice from the photo I've seen

Just copped a f*cking $80 parking fine while i was getting a haircut in victoria street. How can they issue fines when there's only 10 parking spots in the whole street, shits f*cked.

Yeah I got one for parking in the middle of the street outside Hogs Breath once when I was away for about 5 mins getting sushi. It is a loading zone, but they hardly ever patrol that area I think. Just unlucky really

On another note. I emailed Titan motorsport about an ATI balancer for an RB25 and they said there is no such thing and werent interested at all in helping

Emailed another American performance parts shop and they are going to contact ATI or get a custom one made.... lol no idea how expensive that is or if its just like one of the others I've seen which is just a mix of a few different ATI balancers

They won't make one for a RB25 you will need to get one for a RB26

Got a Little Bit done today not a great deal but, picked up some more bits today like a Full Z32 Gearbox Conversion Kit all Machined up ready to bolt up and also got a ATS Triple Plate Clutch for good measure to handle plenty of abuse .

    • I'm firmly on the "zero compliance is good compliance" for FUCAs. I'd be looking to solid metal joints even if the primary reason for having them is because they facilitate the twist in the arm. I have never been more happy with the way the front suspension behaves than I have since I got rid of the FUCA bushes. Even the thin little (short lived) poly bushes in the Whiteline adjustables have too much compliance for my liking. It probably won't be long before I have sphericals nearly everywhere, probably including both top and bottom arms in the rear, and I'll start complaining about the increased costs for dental work. But I will be enjoying the driving more, I'm sure.
    • Plus, you'll get great experience in bedding in pads!
    • I have offset Nismo brackets so the fact the gktechs can pivot is less important to me. I have 170mm JIC arms with bushings - but they provide no adjustment and I'm not sure whiteline eccentric bushings will fit them (I don't want to ruin the bushings currently in them to find out). Ideally I want something with bushings + adjustment; hence why I'd like to find a pair of these. Unfortunately they aren't easy to find.
    • @Vee37 How much do you really care about finding these pads again? If your pads are quiet, work well and produce minimal dust, really isn't that enough? If you are set on finding the exact pads again, I suppose I'd do something like this -  Visit your local Jax, find out what brand of pads they carry. If the Jax workshop you previously went to had the pads on the shelf, then you can almost guarantee it will be of said brand.   I'm guessing you don't have the receipt for the previous work and pads. Can you visit a Jax workshop and see if they can look up your previous job to see what pads were fitted?  Still no luck? Put your stalker hat on, find the staff that used to work at the Jax store and ask them. Talk to local workshops, try to find out where the mechanics went to. Talk to Jax workshops, maybe they relocated to another workshop. When it comes to mechanics, its a small world. You'd be surprised how easy it is to track someone down. If these ideas don't work, shit will start getting crazy very quickly.... You could find out every brand and model of pad that fits that car... and try them individually ticking each off the list if it wasn't the one you were looking for.... If you go down this path your going to want to learn how to swap pads yourself, it is very easy, takes minimal tools and space. If you have room to park the car you have room to swap the pads. Plus you have the advantage of making sure all the brake hardware goes back in so they won't squeal!
