Hi, guys

I try to install a head unit, to replace the factory one. i have search the faq (assume R33 has same loom as R32):

http://www.powerlink.co.nz/~graeme/faq/74.html

Yellow with Silver Tracer ------> Constant 12V

Black with Red Stripe ---------->Electric Aerial

Blue with Silver Tracer---------> Ignition 12V.

Red with Blue Stripe ---------->12V when lights on.

I 'd like to try connect those wires from head unit to the loom, however I have some problem, from the instruction of the head unit, I don't have problem for speakers cables, however I am not sure the rest wires hanging there:

From my head unit, where I should connect these wires to

1) there is a filter box (fuse 7A) has two wires:

yellow----->backup

black------> ground (-)

2) Blue wire with FUSE (0.5A) ----> Auto Ant (+)

3) Red wire with FUSE (1A) ACC. B (+)

I guess that the blue wire goes to black with red stripe (electric aerial)...but how about the rest?

thanks for any information..

yes i have had sagas when installing my stereo, firstly this canadian mate i have tryed, it worked for a while, then pete smith decided to re wire it etc... and its going great now..

however we did notice last time we were in ricebarn (auto barn)...

that they have these adapters for head units etc..

like nissan to pionneer, or nissan to kenwood etc

im not sure if these could help you, but im led to beleiev you plug the old plugs from stock cd player, into one end of the adapter, then it clicks into teh back of new stereo...

it should have come with its own loom. Then all u do is cut out the factory nissan one and wire it into your new loom according to the wiring diag that came with the stereo.

U might find some dont get used on the stereo side - eg power ant etc, and from the other side, u might find that your head unit doesnt have dimming, so u will have extra wires left.
