DON't RUN YOUR FUEL LOW.. = PINGING

Well I found out what my problem was with pinging..

The fuel was low.. It was only just starting to flash on the red light.

Anyway I was going up a hill dropped it back to second as an idot was doing 60km/h in the right lane, ping ping ping..

i haven't had this problem before and constanly run with the fuel light on for ages. (at least 60km-90km)

I try and never go much below 1/8 tank because it is easy to starve to pump of fuel making it run lean and it also stuffs the pump as they are lubricated by the fuel.

i run my car to yellow light nearly every time.. and hasnt ****ed a thing up yet..

I'm with you MRE... I didn't even know we had a fuel light!!

We try and not go under the last 1/4 of the tank. Meaning we only really get around 300k's per tank then we fill up.

The pump is also cooled by the fuel. I've heard if you constantly have the pump uncovered (below 1/4 -1/8 tank) then you also reduce the pump life.

hooly dooly, and you still have 1/4 left??

jeepers - at 300km's from a tank, i am almost desperately trying to find a uel station!!! (although - the other week i got 460km's from my tank on hwy driving... )

I think the reason its pinging at low fuel is because you may have a heap of **** sitting in the bottom of the tank?? that might be it...

hmmm ive had my r33 for almost 2 years and havent noticed the Fuel Light ever :|

Only once i managed to get only 230km from a tank :| now i try to drive off boost as much as possible.

low old fuel is a bad mixture... a new batch of healthy stuff does the car wonders
