Aftermarket Ecu Question - Not Skyline Related

Sorry, this is not Skyline related, but I know there are folks here that might be able to enlighten me..

I'm going to be putting an Aftermarket ECU on my KE TX3 turbo project. It's a completely DIY project (well pretty much).

I''m going for a Haltech E8 or Microtech LT10S

I've been reading the mauals for both and they seem very generic.

I want to wire up the ECU in a direct fire, sequential configuration.

However, I still don't quite understand how the ignition trigger works.

I do understand that there are many ways to get igntion trigger - hall effect, magnets, crank wheel teeth, crank angle sensor.

I haven't pulled the TX3 dizzy apart yet, so I don't know how it works.....

But what is the best way to configure ignition trigger for my car - and generally how does it work for direct fire, sequential ??
