Ca/sr/rb Boxes

CA and SR gearboxes are the one and the same, this is a fact, aside from the bellhousing differences, they have the same internals and so on.

My question is are the RB20 boxes the same as the CA/SR ones (again different bellhousings) As im pretty sure ive heard of people putting SR boxes with RB bellhousing behind their rb20's etc.

yeah simon but they are about 20mm shorter so sometimes there is a tailshaft issue, but most times, not problem

u sure about that? i think thats just the bellhousing differences.

same gearset.

ie. if you poped one just buy the one that you can get cheap and swap the bellhousing lol

i exhausted the north shopre of l series and ca 20 boxes lol

Do you guys know if the turbo RB and naturally asperated RB gearboxes are interchangable???

there identical apart ftrom the na one only having single syncros. not twin. so it will crunch easier and therefore brake easier

Ok i think i have an SR20 gearbox bolted up but I'm having trouble finding a matching driveshaft. For this to work which driveshaft do i need to find?

Will the manual RB20 Driveshaft line up properly ? (been trying what i think is a Silvia driveshaft).

Couple other questions

the differnece between the manual and auto driveshaft (RB) is the length of the front piece right?

Is the silvia tailshaft the same length as the others?
