Correct me if i'm wrong but for one reason or another a lot of people have daily drive cars, well at least I think they do???

Whether it's because you like to tow your "real car" to those track days, or if it's the petrol bill at the end of the month that stops you driving your skyline (insert other imported/sports car here)

Maybe it's because you don't want to clock up so many km's every week on your pride and joy commuting in traffic, maybe it's because you don't like driving to and from work with that guilty feeling that you are going to be reported to the epa or pulled up and have that boost controller spotted....

for whatever reason it is that you feel you need a more subtle car for your day to day ventures, what is it that you chose for your daily driver and why?

I am looking into getting something in the next few months and i have been leaning towards a hot hatch of some description, namely a pug 306 gti-6 basically because it's a semi hoons car without the attention, they have leather and a sunroof, and a fairly punchable 2.0 donk, and they seem like they would be a reasonably comfortable and economical drive.

down side to the pug is they have no towing capabilities what so ever. hmmmm fiddle dee dee. :P

at the moment I drive my skyline to work everyday, but I want to buy a shitter eventually. I love driving my car and haven't had any hassles whatsoever with it, but maintenance and petrol costs build up pretty quickly when you're doing 5-600kms a week just for work + all the other driving you do in it...

Anyone selling a cheap little manual laser or something similar, with some rego left over, let me know :P

wel my mum drives my car to work everyday 4 the time being! dammit!

i dont realli like the extra K's n how she doesnt understand the speed bumbs are meant to be taken slow..

im gonna ride my motorbike to work when im old enough!!

Super Jazz FTW

VERY economical, amazing interior space, does reasonable handbrake turns and has a huge wang to impress the laydees.

agreed (cept for the handbrake turn and impressing the laydees) - i rather use my 'line for weekend driving.

The jazz is perfect, cos then I can load my beagle in the back and he will have plenty of space to lie down or move around in (at the moment he is scared sh*tless of the skyline). Plus the economical 1.3 or 1.5 means that ur doing max 6ltrs/100 - perfect! Oh and I know this is a nissan skyline forum, but hondas make very reliable cars - so if I were to get the Jazz, I wouldnt change it for a fair few years (unless the worlds supply of petrol runs out) :)

i drive my skyline every day to work and back

it would shit me to tears to drive any other car

i work my ass off for my car and i love driving it to bits, so it would suck to settle for anything less such as a crap econo box daily driver

perfectly put Paul!

It would only take me half an hour to walk and yet I still take the line everyday

GF just shakes her head when I drive to her house... that's a 7 minute walk... or so she keeps reminding me :(

nick pull the old, "but its a 2 second drive and that means more time with you".......................pft.

haha she would see straight through my lie!

she was all high and mighty about walking to my place until some drunk guy started chasing her at 2am! now she drives too... as soon as it gets dark :(
