Very Nice car and good luck with it. I wished my first car was a skyline but I got there in the end.

I agree with GTST you seem to be beyond your age there should be more teenagers around like you.

Cheers

Chris

UPDATE: Well, the car still isn't on the road yet. What appeared to be a perfect car, obviously wasn't lol.

What has BEEN done

Apparently it had a new battery, but it went flat because it was from K-Mart, so New battery (I duno $100 OR MORE)

Stock Air filter has been bought and fitted ($12)

Bushes for Caster Arms HAVE been replaced ($70)

Bushes for Upper Control Arms HAVE been replaced ($160)

Holes in rear parcel shelf have been made for the Child restraint

Labour done by ourself

Clarion Headunit and Speakers have been fitted.

Gave the car back to the mechanic, and finds two more problems.

What NEEDS to be done

Needs new Master cylinder ($300 or more)

Some plate thing for the firewall ($who knows)

The car has been engineered and weighed. It weighs 1340kg.

Oh and I FINALLY recieved the mirrors, they're for sale in my sig.

Yeah it's for the brake. Apparently you can't recondition them anymore or something Dad was saying this afternoon. They said $300, so that's probly including labour. I duno, I just want the car running on the road now. It's been long enough (only had it actually like 10 days lol)

    • Hey, like MBS206 mentioned; I dropped off my short block and rotating assembly Monday. With a quick verification, he believes he can clear it up with just a hone and new rings but he will confirm once the rotating assembly is out. If I were you, I would either go stroker or just replace the block if it does need to be bored over to next size. Block is cheaper then forged pistons.
    • live in the UK, and London has introduced a Low Emission Zone (LEZ) that requires individuals to pay £13 if their car doesn’t meet the required emissions standards.   The standard specifies that NOx emissions must be less than 0.08 g/km (i.e., the vehicle must meet Euro 4 standards or better, which generally results in NOx levels of around 0.08 grams per kilometer).   I reached out to Nissan UK, and they advised me to contact Nissan Japan directly. Does anyone have contact details for Nissan Japan or any certifications of conformity that show the emission details or NOx levels for the RB25DET engine?   Any guidance would be greatly appreciated.
    • these guys recommended to me and supplied custom 4 inch mufflers, couldn't be happier. They will spec a muffler to your preferred level of sound and know RB's well.  https://spmufflers.com.au/
    • Yeah this used to happen to me every year and a quick call would at least raise the agreed value back up / reduce the premium, but usually both.    That said for the first time on the renewal this year our agreed values went up or stayed the same over the fleet and the premium came down so that was a nice surprise.
    • I don't even go that hard core. I just say "how do you expect me to stay, when you increase my premium, and reduce the value of the car?"   Then play a game of shut the f**k up. Most of the time it's a computer that did the adjustment, and the people will happily change it around for you.
