sloutch
Hi guys, today i just did my service at a performance workshop. I changed my engine oil to the Motul 8100 from the previous 4100 i used. After driving the car for a while, i notice that the acceleration is so much quicker. I've also changed from vortex 98 to ultimate. SO i'm just wondering, is it just my mind playing tricks or seriously they are better products? BezerkR32
Cars do run better when you perform an oil change, you may even feel a greater improvement if you have changed the viscosity of the oil. Not sure why you would pay $80+ for motul when there is better, cheaper products on the market though. seems all the skyline owners have been brainwashed. 666DAN
placebo effect. Get someone to change the oil randomly for you without telling you and see if you notice I see you've dreamed about those magical pixies as well!!!! Saying that though, I recently went back to the Optimax 100 Octane and the car seems a lot happier for it, big difference. Hmm the motul 8100 cost me only about $58 at autobarn. What do you mean there is a cheaper and better product? Which other oil are you talking about? I change my oil every 5000 kms, but this time the acceleration just improved so much! insu
I use the 8100xcess and found it to be quite good for the price too, (around $58) sometimes with one of those 20% off vouchers for less. What would you say was better or the same for less or the same price? sloutch
Yeah i guess it could be the fuel change from Vortex 98 to Ultimate. I guess it all depends on the car as well.
