Oil Pressure Low On My Rb26

hi im wondering if anyone could help me?

i have a problem with my rb26 regarding with the oil pressure, everytime i hit high revs or hit boost the oil pressure goes down to 0 and the warning light will turn on.

if i drive normally without going over 4-5000rpm its ok, the pressure doesnt drop and the warning light does not turn on.

i would appreciate any help thanks.

whats your oil pressure at idle? as my rev goes up, my oil pressure actually goes up...

maybe the oil pressure sender is faulty...

or maybe not...

The warning light is completely independent of the oil pressure sender that is commonly faulty. If the pressure on the gauge drops but the light does not come on, youre usually ok. If the light comes on you (99% of the time) have a genuine mechanical problem.

I would be taking it to a mechanics and get an external oil pressure gauge hooked up to see what its actually doing. If it is losing pressure at high rpm then youre probably going to end up with an engine out job.

Quite likely a cracked oil pump, or the pump bolts have come loose.

Don't rev it past 4000RPM until you get a new pump .........

I say dont drive it at all until you get it checked by a mechanic...

how about puting oil in it before it blows up.

fil er up to the top hump on the stick and youl be fine. trust me
