Hey guys if anyone can tell me what a stock R32 gtr would make on the dyno, and then what I can expect from my gtr which is being built up at the moment.

My car will have a 3" exhaust, Apexi power fc, N1 turbos, forged pistons, stainless head gasket, and maybe pod filters.

Any help would be great, Im a while away from getting it, and Id love to get an idea of what kind of power she might make.

Thanks.

well my GTR is pretty much standard apart from full 3 inch exhaust , pod filters and 13 Psi of boost and mine made 238 rwkw.

Thats impressive, mine is running 240rwkw with pods, dumps, exhaust, r34 turbos, PFC, 15psi, dialled cam gears, 600cc injectors, fuel pump.

With just pods, turbos, dumps and exhaust made 218rwkw.

Stock is 176kw (206 at the flywheel).

I got mine to 261rwkw with ARC airbox, new turbo back exhaust, microtech lt12s and a $40 boost controller which never spiked

Note though: No difference between an OEM airbox and an s-tune filter (Thanks powerplay) and the ARC box at that power level

N1's should be above 300rwkw id guess, but you will know soon enough :P

The 206kw figure that was listed by Nissan was not realistic and only given as there was a gentleman's agreement in japan that no japanese car manufacturer would produce a car with more than 206kw. You will find a few japanese cars with that magic 206kw figure in their brochures. Multiple sources list the real power output of the GTR being more like 320hp (240kw) at the engine obviously...

sweet thanks

what power gains do you usually get from just a ECU upgrade?

right now my gtr is in the shop getting a microtech ltx12 ecu with bosch coils and an ignition pack installed

i know it really depends on tune and tuner just curious is all

And should i play with the tune of the new ecu for a while or grab some adj. cam gears and play with that?

Thanks

    • Hey, like MBS206 mentioned; I dropped off my short block and rotating assembly Monday. With a quick verification, he believes he can clear it up with just a hone and new rings but he will confirm once the rotating assembly is out. If I were you, I would either go stroker or just replace the block if it does need to be bored over to next size. Block is cheaper then forged pistons.
    • live in the UK, and London has introduced a Low Emission Zone (LEZ) that requires individuals to pay £13 if their car doesn’t meet the required emissions standards.   The standard specifies that NOx emissions must be less than 0.08 g/km (i.e., the vehicle must meet Euro 4 standards or better, which generally results in NOx levels of around 0.08 grams per kilometer).   I reached out to Nissan UK, and they advised me to contact Nissan Japan directly. Does anyone have contact details for Nissan Japan or any certifications of conformity that show the emission details or NOx levels for the RB25DET engine?   Any guidance would be greatly appreciated.
    • these guys recommended to me and supplied custom 4 inch mufflers, couldn't be happier. They will spec a muffler to your preferred level of sound and know RB's well.  https://spmufflers.com.au/
    • Yeah this used to happen to me every year and a quick call would at least raise the agreed value back up / reduce the premium, but usually both.    That said for the first time on the renewal this year our agreed values went up or stayed the same over the fleet and the premium came down so that was a nice surprise.
    • I don't even go that hard core. I just say "how do you expect me to stay, when you increase my premium, and reduce the value of the car?"   Then play a game of shut the f**k up. Most of the time it's a computer that did the adjustment, and the people will happily change it around for you.
