Hi Guys,

I know this may have been covered before, but ive seen a few threads about respraying cars so i figured i should ask.

Just want some opinions from everyone on Midnight Purple III (LX0) paint.

I will be respraying my car soon and im really interested in getting this colour as its not only rare but also looks good.

Has anyone seen it in real? If so, what would you rate it?

Thanks guys.

Most dark colours are hard to keep clean.
My old 180 was midnight purple. Looked great, and it's my favourite colour on a car, but yeah, was a bit of a bltch to keep clean.

 I kinda figured it would, but nothing is as much of a bitch as black. Correct me if i'm wrong but i think it wouldn't be as bad as black.

be prepared for $400 a litre coz i was guna get my car painted that colour bout 6months ago, out of my bugget so i get went midnight purple

:D Dont worry i'm prepared $400 is peanuts if you're happy with what you're getting. I guess you get what you pay for, true?

Is this color just a spray on a couple coats then a few of clear? Or is it a paint 1 color then another or what? How hard is it to come by the tinters?

Nick

Cant exactly answer that question as i dont know myself.. Anyone know?

its a chromilousion (spelling) colour i went to prinz paints in bayswater (only place i could find it) and its got bout 5 or more different colours in it. i cant exactly rememba, just give em a call and they'll explain the whole thing

    • Hi. a little later but if the topic is here. So...the exhaust is the same and you can use 25/Turbo or any aftermarket? What about intake side? Is it too "plug n play" or? (i do not remember for 100% but i think that one intake to head gasket was little bit different than on the RB25 - i bought gasket kit way back) I know that even if it "plug" those butterfly swirls would cause ECU to be confused or?   Just asking for the info 馃檪 and of course the RB25 things are easier to come by

    • Hi everyone, I鈥檓 Dave from Canberra. Here's a few pics of my 1992 R32 GTST coupe which I imported back in 2006. Only mods so far are HKS Hi-power cat back exhaust, K&N filter, ATC Volanti steering wheel, Pioneer stereo, amp and sub. This was my daily driver up until 2015 and sadly hasn鈥檛 been driven at all in the last 5 years due to marriage, work, and kids taking up most of my time and spare cash.As such its in need of a bit of TLC and one of my goals for this year is to get it back to running condition and maybe look into club/historic rego. I鈥檝e joined SAU so I can ask a few questions along the way (although I promise to google Current Problem +SAU beforehand!)
