Broken AFM

well i accidently broke my afm while cleanin it

i tried to solder it back together but it doesnt seem to have made any difference

so guys if i have a broken afm, will this mean that its the reason for my car not being drivable - it will idle but will have some pinging and wont go forward or backwards without stalling?

New AFM for you. Secondhand ones go for about $150 or so.

The car won't be driveable with a stuffed AFM.

the U shaped piece of metal at the rear of it - a small crack

You can't rev above about 2000 without a working AFM, you can idle alright though. Basically, it's not driveable without a working AFM.

yeah i found that out

it does idle over 2k but yeah i dont wanna do anythign i shouldnt

im told a vl turbo afm is the same? correct or incorrect?

ive found out that its a piece of ceramic film thats broken in the U shaped part
