And since I am bored today Marki here is some maths for you

a 300rwkw r33 GTST gives a rwhp to pounds ratio of 0.1346

a 240rwkw s13 gives a rwhp to punds ratio of 0.1197 which is signficantly slower

to give a s13 a similar power to weight it would actualy need 270rwkw giving a rwhp to pound ratio of 0.1346

oh and my 300rwkw skyline has a rwhp to pounds ratio of 0.146

maths is not your friend Marky

you have no idea mate, wat about toque? diff ratios? suspension? driver??? power doesnt mean everything....

Yeah would love to see member "Sunnycoast" R34 in person looks nice, and i havn't managed to see it around the coast so i'am not sure where you guys normally go cruising. Anyway work is calling seeya's around.

Appreciate the kind words. Would be more than happy to show you my ride. Not really the best looking car, but one sweet 4 door.

I am up for a cruise. Let me know when everyone is heading out and i'll make sure i'm there.

Cheers.

He has no idea? You're the one trying to start an SR vs RB argument on SKYLINE forums. No one cares.

lol, ur a sick c**t matty always have been. but i do love it... yes you can finger my sr wont be her first :O

that f*king ant thing in ur sign just made me slap my screen 3 times...

Haha yeah, I haven't lost my charm. I know you love it.. oi is marty opening a workshop out along the drag strip in kunda? You'll have to take me for a spin in ur SR PWR car manz..

Haha retard. Copy and put it in your sig.

I will be out definatly next weekend as long as i get my car, cant wait!

Hey Bunta what mods you got to get 300rwkw, that would be quick you done a 1/4 mile yet?

rebuilt engine and a 3076R are the main ones, no quarter mile yet as the tune was crap and I was geting bad knocking, hoping to get out there very soon and have a go at it

in a top end highway type race (Markys current obsession due to cartoons) it matters more than most of the factors you mention and i realise power doesnt mean everything. I was replying to Markys statment that a 240rwkw s13 is faster than ANY 300rwkw skyline, dumb overly simple statment that was rebuked by overly simlpe logic.

LOL mate there is nothing on the coast......

mm bad choice Bunta, The gt30/71 gt30/76 series turbos have problems with exhaust gasses escaping from The internal gate. Ive been there and seen prove. Im having the same issues with my gt30/71, im prolly going to upgrade to the gt30/76 but with the t3 flange and ex gate OR run the hks gt30/37 series. I never new gt30/76 with the t3 flange comes internal gated....

Nonsense.

All of the Garrett int. turbos use the same type of gate and same setup. The only problem would be if the installer didn't set up the pre-load properly.

ohh ok, im just goin from 2 garret dealerships, they both said the same thing.

sorry i dont want the "elite" racing crew onto me...

and wtf is that supposed to mean?

Who are the two Garrett dealers who told you this? I thought you said 'been there and seen proof'. And having the same issues with your 3071?

I know, as a Garrett dealer myself, that it is not a documented or even noted problem with the 3071 or 3076. I'm not saying that you are not experiencing some problems with yours but it doesn't mean it's a common fault with all their range.

The only reason there is an 'elite racing crew' is because I give people the right information, I don't lie, I don't rip people off, I give free time to people and ask for nothing, I drive to the other side of town to help someone in need, I stand by my product and back up my work. I don't ask people to come to me so don't blame me if you might get flamed for a comment as I don't request it. We are all adults here and everyone makes their own decisions.

Have you checked pre-load on your actuator and/or tested the actuator to see when it is opening?

yea i know wat u mean...hopefully the skyline wannabe's will get over them selves and find something else better to do than start sh!t with others.

ahaha... is that me... i love skyrines.. i have worked on many and driven more than u can count so dnt think i dont appreciate skyrines.. but only a GTR is a true rine

skyline wannabe's BAHAHAH. ive owned my fair share of skylines. the only skylines that look half decent are 32 gtrs, 34 4 doors and ofcourse the 34 gtr :D

BNR32 FTW... the R34 was ok.. but prefer the 180.. GTR>180>R34

My point is that this is a skyline forum not a 180sx or other cars. and thats ur opinion of skylines, i personally think 32's arent as nice looking as 33 or 34's.

woah u need help R33 wer nasty.. i knw a couple of mechs from nissan and i quote "the R33 was a failure to evolve from the R32.

Why compare oranges with apples? Though I see you are using skyline parts as *upgrades* on your cars :P ... has ns shut down or something?

uh yeah cause they have bigger things.. i wnat the brakes. its not rocker science that skylines got bigger things to accomodate the weight and bulk of the vehicle..

you have no idea mate, wat about toque? diff ratios? suspension? driver??? power doesnt mean everything....

SRs ull find have more torque.. also a dicussion i had with my mate who has a N1 GTR and owned wrxs 180sx vspec gtrs everythin good friend of homer rules. was telling me bout the gearing on the SR box is more suitable than his GTST 33 and he has a 3540 i havent really experimented myself as of yet.

He has no idea? You're the one trying to start an SR vs RB argument on SKYLINE forums. No one cares.

u care thats why u log on and read it instead of looking at porn.. but wer not starting massive debate. i just have more confidence in the lighter chassis SRs than the skylines.

lol cartoons are cool.. u talkin bout wangan highway...midnight thing.. u douche im buying a BNR32 next year for top end shit lol. silvia is for drift. i still believe that a lower power SR sil will cut up a R33 with more power.

it think it is a .84? internally gated and tomei poncams 256 deg. int. and ext. with 8.5mm lift

would be 84 dont think u can get 64 on T3.. if u could then LOL

    • I'm not up to date on the latest, but for basic modifications like pod filter, lower springs etc you can get a modification permit at the time of inspection.  For more serious modifications you will need engineering.  Intercoolers used to fall into the mod permit rule but its been a long while since i looked it up.   Either way you will be able to get it registered, just a case of $300 vs $3k .
    • Hi everyone! I’m the new owner of a 1996 R33 GTS-T, I’ve purchased this car over from Queensland and brought it to Western Australia and I’ve found that there is a hole cut out in the engine bay for the FMIC that enters into the wheel well (fender liners are in the boot). For anyone that has had to get their car over the PITS here, will this be a major issue?
    • Yeah I've spotted this one too, whenever it's lotto superdraw week and I'm browsing car sales dot com for my new ride They must be dreaming, maybe it's worth 150k for the link to Brock?
    • 100% accurate!  We are a pack of know it alls....  But, I bet people go to you when they have a problem! I've been on a bit of a clean up rampage too over the past month!  I've thrown more shit in the bin over the past 2 weeks than I have in the past 3 years combined! Anyway, it's all good fun being different! My wife sometimes does not agree!
    • ADHD in all form isn't about "can focus, or can't focus" or is hyper active or isn't etc.   It's all a dysregulation. Either time feels to be stationary, or time just vanishes in a split second. We are either under focussed on the task at hand (as we're over focussed on our surroundings) or we have no idea an atomic bomb went off beside us as we're so hyper focussed and locked in on things.   Not to mention the rapid fire thought process. What it takes a "normal" process to think up a solution to a problem, ADHD will be able to give you 5 different ways to solve the problem, and the pros and cons of each. While we can be highly impulsive and lack the ability to "control ourselves" we can also become paralysed with the inability to make a decision for ourselves. While most of us have an OCD like requirement for perfection, we lack the ability often to remain focussed to get things to a perfect state. Those with undiagnosed ADHD as adults, can often find the last part actually stops them ever attempting to do things that they have the ability to do, as the reasoning is often "if I can't do it perfectly, it's not worth doing"   As for projects... Ha ha ha, I still need to take the other half of my wall trim down in the Fiance's office so I can paint it. Need to finish digging and running the back yard drains, my R33, getting the Ninja bike registered (now being sold), the moped project, fixing either of the lawn mowers so they're reliable, along with a myriad of other things.   It's why I've been going through lately and just being brutal and clearing projects off that I won't actually ever complete. IE, moped will go to the tip, or be given away, bike is being sold, Subaru project being sold, some parts for other projects given away. Or I've been making myself focus on one thing at a time, by ticking off the smallest quickest ones first.   There's also a reason by our mid twenties we seem to be "know it alls", as we've all been down some of the weirdest and oddest rabbit holes when you follow the dopamine trail. It's often also why we're more a jack of all trades, but not a master of one.   However, pretty much all of my hobby projects, in one way or another, all come back around to automotive. That's my zen area.
