Actually, as a follow up.

My biggest fear with HID kits is that the headlight ISNT designed for it (There is a lot of R&D going into headlights) so for example putting HID's into an S1 headlight would not be a good idea (Hence, the people that do retrofitting).

But, because the S2 is designed for HID's, would there be any issue just using an aftermarket HID kit?

Is there any physical difference between the HID and non HID headlights on S2's? Anyone know?

Not sure as my S2 came with them already in.

I believe the compliance conversion simply replaces the bulb. The reflective lense is still the same.

my lights were sheethouse after the conversion they did but when i put the zennons back into the lights they are 20 times better i think the reflectors or the glass lenses is different in the lights mine has clear lenses and im sure the stock hallogen has different ones which difracts the light.good luck getting some here as most compliace shops just butcher the zennon lights by chopping the wires out maybee u could swing a deal where u swap them yours and some cash or something apart from that ive seen heaps of them on yahoo

Has anyone attempted to repair the wires after they have been cut by the compliance shop, Im also tempted to ask a compliance shop if they will hand over any bulbs, im sure they would just go into their bin.
