I have a friend of a friend who has a High Flow RB30DET turbo they are trying to offload as they are getting a bigger turbo.

Would that turbo be suitable for the R33 engine as an upgrade with supporting mods...ie PFC FMIC ZORST Boost Pod... ????

If som will it bolt straight on or need some mods to do so ?

He also said it was an XMS high flow..What's that???!!

I searched on here and can't find an occurance of XMS, hopefully getting mixed up with XTR as i think that's GCG ????

Thanks guys.

Whoops, i meant the RB30ET off a VL.

Not sure about BB yet but trying to find out.

Apparently high flowed by XMS so if i can find out who they are, i should be able to find out if BB or not.

Can you tell by looking at it from the outside if BB or not?

it will not be ball bearing if it has the rb30et core.

you will need to modify the dump pipe as it has the wastegate flap built into it and the pipe will face the wrong way on the rb25 manifold.

you would need to redrill the oil feed lines which more then likely will not directly bolt up to the et turbocharger core.

it doesn't make economical sense to fit that turbo to your vehicle.

sure it will make the power depending on wheel trim/size but not worth all the stuffing around.

slide makes highflow vg30 turbos (which is the name of the turbo off the vlt). oil and water lines do line up, and as mentioned the banjo bolts and banjo fittings need to be redrilled.

they are good for around 250rwkw with the highflow.

to get more info i'd suggest speaking to Slide.
