Hey Kermit

I've got a friend that saw my exhaust and loved it. He owns a WRX and was also looking at getting a cat back, 3" same as the one you put on my R33.

I was wondering if the $550 deal was still going. He still needs to get a muffler and also find out whether adding the exhaust will void his warranty, so he isn't looking at doing it right away, but definately in the near future.

for a basic guide i will do any cat back exhaust in 3" stainless for a maximum of $700 if you supply a muffler. this is mandrel bent and has custom hangers. the $550 deal is finished but the price hasnt gone up too much

exhaust upgrade will not void any warranty but if in doubt i would suggest calling subaru themselves

I can vouch for his work. Top class!

I would have to agree. Kermit did my exhaust and after seeing it, my friend wants him to do the same to his wrx. Will tell him to give subaru a call and then let you know kermit

Hey Kermit,

I've heard a few people say good things about your work and I'd like you to take a look at my SII 33 at some stage (next two to three months).

I'm looking to get a full 3" system from the turbo back (Split Dump, Front Pipe, High Flow, Cat back, muffler). I understand I have to supply the muffler, is there anything else I need to supply? Also, just a ballpark figure will do, how much am I looking at (not including the parts I need to supply obviously).

Cheers mate

Iain

Top work, had a muffler replaced with straight through pipes on my ute for a better exhaust note and i love it...

Have posted about your work on the XR6 Turbo forum too so you might see some more work from there...

Cheers Kermit.

hey kermit can i get a quote on how much u want for a cat back exaust thats 3.5 inch and also how much to replace a 2.5 inch pipe with a muffler that is already on the system

Cheers

Chi

hey chi

lots of people seem to want a 3.5" exhaust when a 3" exhaust will do the job just as well. unless you are planning quite extreme mods then a 3" will suffice . the problem is not the size but the cost of the 3.5 " piping and bends which are 3 times more expensive than 3". my reputation for inexpensive prices comes from not allowing the customer to spend more than what they actually need to yet still giving top notch quality and service . if you insist on 3.5" piping then pm me and i will quote but it is overkill for a custom made system that is a free flowing design .

also you want a muffler put into a system ? just making sure as most people want mufflers removed from their systems. just confirm by pm and i will get back to you.

hey guys for the next 2 weeks i will be having a special offer on cat back exhausts . they will be available for $550 , a saving of $200 .

these are 3" mandrel bent , stainless steel exhausts , custom made to suit your needs . these come with custom hangers and are fully tig welded , all you need to provide is a muffler.

kermit 0422549050

please be aware that a custom tig welded stainless exhaust usually retails for at least $1200 to $1500 .

    • Welp, too late already committed to the cam cover breathers to be welded on. I did think about adding a catch can in line with the drivers side sump breather as a phase 2 along with a drain to the sump on the original catch can but with an inline ball valve so I can have it closed if needed.    Likely a single breather would have been enough but I think I’m overcompensating to hopefully not have to empty my catch can and clean up oil over flow every session.    out of curiosity has anyone actually measured crank case pressure before and after various mods? I’m considering adding a sensor for science
    • Is it a dog or synchro box? I guess either way, if it is new and crunching in one gear only, it has to come out and go back to the shop to check/measure as there is either an assembly or manufacturing issue
    • These are small points I should actually add to my original post. GKtech makes an extended slave line for this conversion. It's what I use, and it works well. You'll also need a CD009 slave cylinder.  S/R Chassis Z33/Z34 Conversion braided clutch line As for transmission sensors, you'll need to both extend the wiring and replace the connectors. I can't recall which is which, but one is your neutral switch and the other the reverse switch. As they are just switches, just test for continuity with your transmission in neutral or reverse to figure out which is which. • I’ll try and see it could be the release bearing. As for the 4th gear grind maybe clutch doesn’t disengage properly cause it is slightly like very slightly hard to go into first could be due to the slab cylinder pin being short uni clutch is a twin plate.   Ive attached some assembly photos hopefully you can open the link and see maybe detect what’s wrong https://share.icloud.com/photos/0dc2YvW__Hl6jl-l2_0jejjpg https://share.icloud.com/photos/09e0jkWOK-vP48c1cfY6u3ViA https://share.icloud.com/photos/0b4rDmh5R7pK7fb1VtND73a3g https://share.icloud.com/photos/05eeUi_6dC4DVi80jOUYDgb0g https://share.icloud.com/photos/06335TgY1XxyIJal_wkdQLhzw
