hey dudes of electrical wizardry!

in my 32 gtst, i have just fitted my Panasonic Headunit (CQ-C4500), kenwood Splits at the front and alpine Type S rears.

now, when i want to listen to the radio, it the music cuts out at the rears continuously. doesnt do it when i listen to a CD.

i have fitted that double diversity plug for the aerial, and everything was sweet.

its only happened since i changed the rear speakers from stock, to the alpines.

thanks for your help

cheers

jarryd

check your wiring for one OR the unit doesnt like the crossover network . (put simply.) buy a small amplifier and it will fix it.

reason for this being that the amplifier int hat unit MUST see an inductive load across it. now the crossover network willl appear like this to a point (this happens when you take the volume past 1/2 way??) then it will appear capacitive and the amplifier see's no load and goes into protection and shuts the speakers off.

Simple question but i'll ask anyway.

Did you soldier the wires together for the speakers? Or just wrap it together and wrap it in electrical tape? I've seen these problems happen again and again because people arent soldiering the wires together and/or not putting electrical tape around it
