Front Bar Mesh

Hello

I have a series 1, i was thinking of putting on a meash to cover the intercooler just to keep it a bit safer from rocks/dirt etc, even though it's still in great condition after about a year. What kind of mesh do i need and where can i get it from? or do i just go down to bunnings or somewhere like that and see what mesh materials they have?

I got mine from supercheap, just make sure its length is enough, cos i gotta cut mine up. Cost me like 20 bucks. also try autobahn etc.

yeh autobarn has different colours (silver/black/red) in some nice premium mesh for about $30-50 depending on what size piece you're after

go for the black coloured mesh like the ones on the R33 GTR's they look pretty good, discrete, stay away from white or silver ones, they look so cheap

yeah i was thinking the same thing with black, don't like the silver/white look. what about the hole sizes in the mesh/ bigger or smaller? i'm guesing smaller = better?

smaller means more restrictive for air flow but not sure how bigger diff it makes, id go for the coarse mesh personally. Its quite coarse on the stock bumpers on GTR's

just get the standard size mesh from autobarn or super cheap. if you go too fine you will restrict airflow.

does the car need to go up on a hoist/jacked up to get the front bar of?

nope, just a few screws n clips and walla, shes off.

I went to super cheap today and saw the mesh, it's a SAAS universal mesh in black, this is about the size of the gaps, Is this the right mesh, it is a hard metal
