Another way of doing a 'collar' on the crank, is to spray weld the end of the crank, and machine it to suit the drive of the pump.

jun ones arent 300 bux...theyve come way down since then... about $185.00 delivered from nengun now. We got ours from Hi Octane about 6-8 months ago for about $250.

You would want to make sure its 100% square. :S

Easier to spend 160-185 on a collar.

We have used the Pro Engines crank collars on 10 or so RB30's and not had a single problem. They are a good sweat fit on the crank and run tight tolerances (clearance) for the N1 oil pump drive flange. Excessive clearance/crank flange wear is one of the causes of oil pump rotor failure.
