int21h
What about these new radar detectors the cops have. They don't stick outside the car anymore, its this bache round thing that sits on the drivers side, near the pillar. They also have one at the back, that picks up speeding cars behind them. Are they using the same frequency? Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/14134-radar-detectors-whats-good/page/2/#findComment-286270 Share on other sites
rev210
why not buy a 'radar jammer' that doubles as a detector. Can buy them online. There are a few dodgy ones to watch out for tho'. If I lose my licence I'll be getting one. Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/14134-radar-detectors-whats-good/page/2/#findComment-286331 Share on other sites

rev210
33spec2, Speeding is illegal. Do I need to say more? Buy them online. Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/14134-radar-detectors-whats-good/page/2/#findComment-286367 Share on other sites
MetBlue_GTST
From what i can remember the jammers are illegal and the cops can usually detect the radar jammers, but the radar detectors are passive, so there is no way to detect them other then noticing them... Besides the radar detectors are legal... Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/14134-radar-detectors-whats-good/page/2/#findComment-286532 Share on other sites
Jon R33
the cops do have radar detector detectors the BEL say they have some feature to prevent them being detected, VG2 or something. but if your in WA this isn't an issue as there legal anyway (as others have already said.) SSS 01
I have a V1, bought from the States. Detects all frequency bands used in Australia including Laser Guns. The only thing it does not pickup is road-based sensors type of cameras like red light and fixed speed. It offers detection from Front, Rear, Left & Right. Approximate distance 1KM usually. Also indicates number of signals picked up and from which direction. Also includes distance to signal strength like commonly found in radar detectors. Price - AUD$1000 approximately with all accessories including concealed mounting. http://www.valentine1.com/ :uh-huh: Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/14134-radar-detectors-whats-good/page/2/#findComment-286604 Share on other sites
