Does Your Tyre Place Card Have To Be In English?

Recommended Posts

mine has 2 in english i think. 1 on the inside of the door, and a small laminated one in the glove box.

definitely speak to the compliancer, as they've pretty much done a dodgy if they didn't put an english one on it...so god knows where else they cut corners

Yep - mine has a new placard in English underneath the Japanese one.

It's pretty simple, it just reads;

R33 Skyline - 225/(I forget all these bits) 32PSI Front, 32PSI Rear

And of course the kPa values too...

ah crap dont say that! :no:

no wait theres one in the glove box. :) stupid cops :) or does there have to be one in the door too? :huh:

sometime the tyre placard can just wash off, because some workshops just print it on a A4 sheet on a bubblejust and just glue it on... but i've only ever seen this done on a 15yr old import where any monkey with a spanner can comply it... I'm yet to see a SEVS workshop though.

So the attached picture above is not acceptable by police?

I only have the japanese one and will probably go back to compliancer to get an english one...

Any other stickers/info i should look at?

On the passenger side door i have a Compliancer sticker with vin, some barcode, year, compliancer name etc

as far as stickers are concerned you can get the emissions and tyre rating stickers from nissan for like 10 bucks for the pair. (if you wan "official stickers" w00t +10hp). Or your compliancer can make you up a set.

Emissions sticker under the bonnet, tyre placard on the door jamb.... although these days the compliance plate is also a sticker.

Yeah it should be in english. I didnt have an emmisions sticker under the hood when and when i went to do the whole engineering cert he stuck one there for me. Also the VIN number wasnt engraved on the body so he had to do that too :|
