hey all, i'm a new member a first timer of owning a skyline. i was pushin it on a straight, and for sum reason once i hit 5000rpm it stops and the rev dial goes down to abut 4000rpm. i think da power doesn't decrease or anythin, but da dial is acting weird. it's pretty much a stock car, so stock i'm still running the stock boost gauge.

i'm thinkin da boost is being cut off or sumthin, but i heard its a common problem, electronics or dirt build up or sumthin about wires. i dont noe anythin realli, so any insight would be greatly appreciated.

the car stops revving @ 5000rpm????

or is it just the tacho

i think its da tacho, instead of increasing rpm it decreases as i look at da tacho, i think da sound still sounds as if it's increasing rpm, just da dial keeps goin weird on me

if you can find the correct wire then it should be a piece of piss

Pull out the dash and see if any wire is loose or fried or just arcing anywhere.

good luck

20 000 Kms for R33? .... eh... ok.

The job itself to repair is probably nothing but the labour might cost u a bit...
