hi peoples. seeing as my engine looks to be screwed does anyone know of anywhere in sydney where i can buy a good quality reasonably stock RB25DET. how much are they usually and do u get any type of warranty on them?

you are going to be looking at close to $2000 for just the motor. a front cut is closer to $3500 because they are rather rare at the moment.

warranty will depend on where you get it. most places won't offer one.

Im my oppinion, you should try and get quotes to rebuild your current motor. its real hard to determine the condition of 2nd hand engines. I would much rather give a well known performance shop few extra $$$ and end up with near new engine that will last me a long time. Unless your wanting to sell the car, then thats a different story...

Theres a workshop in Wetherill Park and he isn't over priced and is very neat in his work... i have seen many of his builds and conversions...

If you had a stuffed motor with a good head/stock rebuild, an RB30 would be a cheaper rebuild wouldn't it?
