hi everyone. just wanted to know if anyone knew where i could get the shocks that hold up the boot re-gased or can u get stronger ones. reason is i have 2 JBL AMPS mounted on the boot lid so i need something more heavy duty due to the weight on the original gas struts.

Cheers weight unknown so anything u know of will be great.

You can get them regassed but its way overpriced.

You'd probably be looking at something aftermarket and custom. Or try custom fitting some hatchback struts in instead as they are generally designed to hold more weight.

hmm where would be a good place to get something custom made up i dont want anything stupidly fancy like a hydrolic boot where i press a button n it opens itself i just want to be able to lift it. also if i can get a longer shock can the boot fold back further than the standard setting position it sits at when in the full open position.

Cheers. does that even make sense

Repco and the like... you can buy genuine bonnet struts for most makes of cars from auto places... i'm sure with a part number or an example you could find a match?

Stuff it.. just let the metal parts rust up, then the strut will hardly move! ;o)
