Gearbox Problem, Alot Of Whining

hey,

ive already done a search and havent found anything that applied to me, although one that has been posted recently was a bit similar but still quite different.

apart from the whining that i usually get from the thrust bearing, there is now a very loud whining that is loudest when im going 60-70kph. it whines when its ingear, outofgear, clutch in or out, and you can hear it winding down and quiting with speed. this problem arose after i took it down to WSID on wednesday nite.

can anyone give me a hand diagnosing this problem, will i be able to drive daily with this problem otherthan the fact theres going to be noise or will i have to fix it asap and how much would it cost?

Could be your diff.....depends if you are certain the noise is coming from your gearbox.... I have no idea what WSID is btw. But If you are sure its your gearbox could be bearings....

i thought it could be my diff but its coming from around the gearbox, but im not 100% sure. ill try harder to hear where the noise is coming from 2nite.
