Hey,

Good to find some fellow enthuisiests, hello to everyone. Im new to SAU but not to skylines, have two R31s but am now the proud owner of my first R32 GTR.

Dont know if any of you know the previous owner, Ron Libbis? It was his personal GTR, not one of the hundreds he imports as a hoby, so its immaculate.

I cant get over that I now own a GTR and a very nice one at that :yucky: Im stoked!

Cheers!

Cool, another burgendy out there. They call the colour by a few different names dont they, Ive heard "wine red" and "burgendy" and just then of you, "pearl red".

I love the look of the original bars but I love this one just as much, oh and its a tommy kiara front bar. Thing I love about this car is I dont have to do anything to it, my modding and fixing days are saved for the 31s :pirate:

jaw drops... oh my god thaT thing is beautiful... good luck with it...what mods?

In terms of engine mods its not far off from standard but setup very nicely with R34 N1 turbos pushing out 270kw at all 4 wheels. I wont say much more than that for now, but shes pretty darn quick....

Cheers!

I'm intrigued with the white engine bay?

Was the car originally pearl red from factory?

the paint is immaculate. i'd say respray at some time for sure, just because of the engine bay paint...

i'd find it hard to believe that the engine bay hasn't been resprayed at some time. there is no way white paint in the engine bay can look that good after so many years....

the external paint could be standard though, it just needs to be well looked after.

The car was originally gun metal grey, and the proof is the rear strut towers as the only part not repsrayed. It was resprayed pearl red with the white engine bay (im guessing to make the engine parts stand out) by the last owner in Japan before Ron imported it.

Cheers!

Oh and I took the liberty of providing the evidence of my owning the car as I know there are a lot of f**kwits out there with a twisted sense of humour pretending to own awsome cars.

    • Thanks for that.... If only I could do something once and be happy with that, like some people do....
    • I had no transmission at all so I managed to find a big box manual gearbox from an R34 GTT for an insanely good price in EU. I converted it to push type which cost more than the transmission almost, with parts from Amayama! These engines are very strong and can put out decent power with a properly sized turbo. You can save on money from parts like pistons and rods, and invest those in the transmission and other parts. I suggest you join the RB20 Enthusiasts facebook group, plenty of info and almost daily posts there about 20DE/DET/Neo+T builds. (I hope I'm not breaking any forum rules by mentioning third party platforms, just trying to help the buddy out)
    • Yeah, having tried all of those methods including BBQ+recipro/hacksaw, I ended up buying a bush press kit under $150 that works well, like this: https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/355967727167?mkcid=16&mkevt=1&mkrid=705-154756-20017-0&ssspo=sfmmuhxgqhm&sssrc=2047675&ssuid=dJvnaZ11TB-&widget_ver=artemis&media=COPY It basically has a range of pushers and cups with threaded rods between to press out a range of large bushes. The problem with any sawing solution is minimising damage to the subframe side, although it probably needs a quick sand afterwards no matter what solution you try due to damage
    • Hi. Thanks for the answer. I do not have instagram 😄 I too considering turbo the RB20DE NEO 🙂 But i think i upgrade the gearbox first or at least buy new.
    • Just pulled the passenger apart so got a good idea, also the side bracket that pivots the top half is completely cooked.. how I don’t know.. haha and paid $400 also included a photo of the passenger seat! She is mint
