Hi guys, the new RB31DET is nearly finished, it's going in the circuit R32 GTST. It's getting a single Garrett competition turbo, mounted low and rear for better weight distribution. It will only have bit more horsepower than the last one, but a heap more response.

The previous post referred to a road GTR, so using low mount twins with internal wastegates in the current rego environment could be the go. By the time I get around to it, there will be a heap of cheap GTRS's around from the guys who don't want to pull down their engines. I reckon a standard looking engine bay with 650 bhp, would be killer at a Commondoor dyno day. None of them would be smart enough to notice the extra height of an RB31DETT.

You guy just have to promise not to tell, OK?

Hi Steve, no I think the bloody things are waste of oxygen. But a chance to stick it up the push rod boys, might be too much to knock back. It's not a dyno comp anyway, just a club day. I wouldn't be going anywhere near a real dyno comp with an RB, that would be like taking a knife to gun fight. The guys had a 7 litre twin turbo Chevy on the engine dyno last month that made 1,400 + kw, the numbers at real comps are starting to get rediculous. I have no idea what is gunna happen when they put that engine on the rollers.

This was almost off thread, but the Chevy had Garrett turbos, so it's a slim thread linker.
