Just wondering what you guys normally do when you won't drive you car for a while (and there is no way you can get someone to start it up for a few mins).

Im going overseas for a month soon and just wondering what I should do with the car, while im gone. Is it as simple as disconnecting the battery?

You could disconnect the battery if no one will be around to start it once a while. I got back from overseas a few weeks ago. My battery had gone flat (suspected it was on the way out anyways) because no one tried to start it for about 2 weeks (can't get good help these days ). I was away for a total of about 5 weeks. Threw the new battery in it started straight away, like I hadn't even left. Didn't idle funny, didn't do anything wrong.

Fixxxer :D

Yeah disconnect the battery before you leave. Running it flat seriously reduces the life of a battery thanks to sulfation. Retuning the stereo is a small inconvenience compared to forking out for a new battery. Besides this, nothing else you really need to do!

Gaah! Winter has come over here and i wont be driving mine for the next 5 months!!

Atleast i have alot of time in the garage! Got some plans and now ive got the time, now theres only one thing missing... money :P
