Hi all,

I have just scored myself a 98 series 2 skyline equiped with a mongoose mx40 immobiliser. Now i am fairly new to this, but my logic says that the immobiliser with interfear with the timer. If this is the case, does anyone know how to get around this, or have done a simmilar installation in the past?

Any information is greatly appreciated...

Thanks

i have a greddy turbo timer & a m80 mongoose system. They work.. but there are issues.. i have trouble locking the car when the turbo timer is running (sometimes i have to press the lock button 3 or more times) and the car sometimes stalls when i turn it off and the turbo timer continues to count down (dunno maybe unrelated).

I may have just had a dodgy install done which i do kind of suspect but they do work together to a certain degree.

hope this info helps ya

If the turbo timer is still running.. you have to hold down the lock button.. not just press..

Idle will dip slighly, doors will lock and the engine continues to run until the turbo timer is done.. 10 seconds after the timer finishes the car arms the immobilisers.. If it isnt working like this you may need to get it looked at..

The m40 doesnt have this feature.. only the m60 and m80 models..

Pretty sure mine is an MX40 + greddy TT - these have turbo timer option built in the same as the MX80 (we have that one on the wrx).

Just be careful on install that u connect to the correct side of the ignition.

EDIT: hmm after reading above perhaps mine is the MX60!
