Car Related Tours, Factories Etc To Visit While In Japan?

Recommended Posts

Hey guys/gals

Im leaving for Japan on the 26th of November and i was wondering if anyone could give me the addresses, details etc of various car related factories and museums that i could visit while im in japan. BTW im staying in Ueno.

Cheers :(

There is a JTB Tour of the Toyota factory in Nagoya.. http://www.jtbgmt.com/sunrisetour/ adn when I was in Hiroshima, one of the JTB tour guides, Akiko, said that she can arrange tours of the Mazda factory there. She is very nice and will most probably ask you a lot of questions, as she is writing a book entitled "Memoirs of a Guide", hjer english is excellent and she is very knowledgable..

Have fun, J rocks..

NISMO festival is held at FISCO(FUJI SPEEDWAY) on December 3.

If you could leave for japan three days earlier i'd recommend the prince-skyline museum.

A special event is held on November 23 to commemorate of new skyline(V36) release.

The prince-skyline museum is closed from November 19 to next April.

Speaking of...

Is anyone from this board going? Also, is there any place to see the itenerary for this year's event?

Cheers.

  • 2 weeks later...

also, go to the Fuji speedway website, it tells you how to get to JR gotenba, and then how to get to the track (taxi is the best way).

Last time I went to Fuji speedway I went via Odakyu Romance car from Shinjuku station (the Odakyu entrance is on the south/west side of the JR station). Then all you need to know is jump in a takushi and say "Speedway made onegaishimasu". You can get to Shinjuku via JR train from Ueno (yamanote line).

You will love it. Any car lover in Japan on December 3rd, and NOT at Nismo festival deserves a square kick in the nutsack I reckon. harsh but fair.
