Hey all,

If you can see what im talking about. Theres alot of textures covering up the screen. My computer is a P4 1.8ghz, 1.2gig ram with a geforce 5700GS video card. The game runs fine and no lag at all, this is the only problem i have encountered. Any help is appreciated.

It looks just like a glitch in the game.....

Or maybe your card doesn;t support the needed shaders?

Ok, been playing for a few yrs now and I know that problem well. My brother had it and the only solution we found was getting a different video card. He had a LCD screen which may have been the cause though my guess was faulty card as updating game and drivers didn't fix it. Sorry I'm not more help.

Sadly this is happening to a lot of people (myself included). Somewhere along the lines Blizzard has probably changed the code they use to render things and it seems to be pushing a whole bunch of older cards over the edge and they are flaking out.

When it gets real bad, they will actually lock up and bluescreen/restart.

Sadly - the only way known of fixing it is to buy a new gfx card.

:(

P.S if, like me, you only get it in certain areas, then you aren't safe - First 2 zones in BC suffer much much harder that most areas in non-expansion, and crash me out in minutes. If you want to play BC, you will have to grab a new card.

hey man, its definately your video card. I bought a 6600GT almost a year ago and it came up with graphic glitches similar to that, which ultimately filled up the whole screen with time. I tried about 5-6 different types of drivers and no dice. Only option was to replace the graphics card which I did and who would have thought it worked.

I Currently I have a 7900GT and it works a treat. I'm not sure which models are 'glitch free' but at this time I'd definitely stick to Nvidia. You can always try the official WoW forums, I'm sure there's a pissload of geeks that will willingly give you a list.

Sorry havent been posting in a while, turns out the glitch in the game was because my motherboard was mega shite, and it wasnt letting the vid card work to its full potential, when it got to ares where alot of detail was required the vid card couldnt work hard enough (my own technical terms >_<). Cheers for all the advice, i upgraded the mb and all is sweet now

ps. i only got to lvl 30somehting before i stopped playing, im gonna close my account, dont have the time/effort to put into the game to get anywhere

I have a better solution, dont play that terribad game, go for something like counterstrike source...

8 million players cant be wrong. WoW kills CSS and any other FPS shooter for that matter. Of course thats just me...

At the 6mm range, you're really pushing the machine hard and don't have a long period you can run for with out needing to give it a rest. Lots of MIG machines come with a regulator and hose. A lot will come with a starter roll of wire too, but it isn't too expensive to buy. I'd recommend NOT buying a massive roll too, as you don't want it sitting around FOREVER in the machine between uses and potentially going to shit. For thin sheet metal, get a roll of 0.6mm if you're doing over 3mm and above, switch over to 0.8mm wire. Even by 2mm you'd probably really want to switch. As for gas battle, it's all swap and go style now. You'll pay a bottle deposit, and then X amount to swap for a full one. I think it's like $200 or $300 for a D Size bottle upfront as "deposit", and like $110 to $150 per swap. My D size CO2/argon bottle lasts a fair bit of welding on the MIG. And I run an E size bottle on the TIG. For DIY MIG, stick with a D size bottle. If you really start to get into a LOT of welding and doing it really regularly, then upgrade. If you're like most DIY car guys, one D bottle will last you 2 or 3 years easily. I think I've been on my current bottle about 5 years. It is starting to get low, but I've been smashing it a lot more the last 6 months.
    • SR20s came with cars like the Bluebird and Primera, but the RB20 never came. The ones in Turkey were either brought in specially or from abroad. That's why RBs aren't as common as SRs. And if a part breaks or I need to replace it when doing maintenance, it's harder to find parts for RBs.
    • I would suggest equally difficult to find, perhaps edging to the SR. Turkey has almost exclusively Euro market cars, some Korean, few Japanese other than pedestrian shite. I guess they're probably losing the fight against Chinese shit like we are now too. I would vote for a BMW V8, found in a 540i in a wrecking yard somewhere in Deutschland (or possibly Albania).
    • A CigWeld EasyWeld 130 can be had from ebay for $360 delivered. Good for 0.6 to 6mm, which would be fine for my requirements. I guess that on top of that you would need to buy a regulator, hoses and wire. I already have gloves and an auto-darkening mask. How is the gas bottle charged? Do you rent it then pay for top ups?
    • RB20 being an option from factory would mean no custom parts or fabrication required, just have to collect the right bits. Probably would be the easiest option I reckon for a motor swap. How common are SR20s vs RBs in Turkey?
