I have a blitz FMIC with the piping that retains the stock intercooler piping from the passenger guard.

I was wondering what these pipes are "technically" called?

Is it still called intercooler piping? or does it have a specific name?

I would like to buy new ones, or have them made up as the stock ones are MS and i was silly enough to take the paint off. Alternatively I will get them chromed/re-painted

But there is someone on here making "intake" pipes for the R33 from the POD, does anyone make the intercooler ones, there are two pipes painted black standard, I dont have a pic but im sure everyone knows what im talking about.

i cant make my POD shield until i have this done.

They dont have a particular name, other than intercooler piping. You can add from the turbo to the cooler or from the cooler to the inlet manifold to clarify which one you are talking about.

Why don't you just get the ones you have repainted or plated?

Having said that any half decent workshop can fabcriate you just about any shape you want your pipes to be....

I wanted new ones because the standard ones look horrible, pretty ordinary weld job and they look even worse now that i took the paint off. I had a brain failure, got happy polishing my new piping for the intercooler and without thinking started on the standard ones, got about half way through and realised "hang on, thats not alloy".

If i were to get these painted or coated I would have to touch up the welds anyway and remove a lot of the marks in them

It should not cost much i dont think to have some new ones made up, i just thought if you could actually buy them along with the intake pipes being sold that would be great, either in S/S or alloy.

i havent had a chance to look but I think the standard one to the turbo has a 45 degree silicon elbow, if i was getting new ones made up i would just run the pipe closer to the turbo so i could get just a straight joiner...

Any guesses on cost having new ones made?
