they're very easy to install guys.

Xixor, if you need help with the leds or any of it, feel free to give me a buzz.

Basically, you remove the dash face, remove the cluster surround, take the cluster off. It's about 3 screws from memory.

The front clear face of the cluster is just clipped in. once you hvae it out, you'll know how to remove it. just push the clip in with your finger nail.

The leds are easy. you just undo a few caps at the back of the cluster, and the leds are inside. Straight pull the old one out and put the new one in. just like changing a light bulb.

For the faces, just cut them out and slip them over the needle. DO NOT remove the needle, otherwise you'll f**k up the cluster.

Once my kit arrives, I'm gonna see how many LED's are needed, and place an order with this mob:

http://www.ledshoponline.com/automotive_dashboard_bulb.htm

The T5 LEDs (which Im pretty sure the skyline has in the dash) are only $2 each... And they are the new "Wide Angle" ones as quoted above... As per the first post, there is 8 LEDS in the dash... so you can buy your own LED kit for $16 + $9 Shipping :stupid:

Note - I only just looked this company up now... sorry to those guys who have purchased through the group buy. Im sure those ones will come with instructions and will be better quality led's anyway

yeah man.. The leds are easy to fit!!! just plug and play items... only you need to make sure they are in the correct way!! one of 2 ways, lol one way wont work and the other way will ... they have built in diod so they will not blow if in reverse polarity!

but yeah the led kits we have are in sets of 4.. unsure if you would need more.... wouldnt think so!!

Had a look through the site listed above... and yeah they are just normal leds aranged in formation so they will give the best light hey can , because they are not full wide angle leds! as much as they say they are!!!

As the ones who ordered through me will see, that they are bright as hell! I know, i hooked one up to check it out , and i was BLIND for about 15min, lol.... well not fully blind but i could see a full on black area in my vision for ages...

they are $$$ because they are alot more powerfull, and they even have to have a small heat sink built in. they make that much light!!! Dont worry the heat sink WILL take the unwanted heat and WONT cause any problem, still not as much heat as a normal globe would make anyhow!!!

I could go on and on about leds, my car has alot of them... lol!!

the reason you need WIDE angle leds for dial app is because you only have 30mm or so from the point of light o the back of the dial its self.. now if you have a copy of a wide angle led you will see when they are on one point that is very bringt and dull around it!!!!

the WIDE angle leds have close to 180' of light chucked out so an even light will be showen on the dials!

If you missed out on the hi power led kits, ar maybe want more, the first led on that page listed above would be the best that site can give !! The rest are no good !

Im in the midlle of making a set of led tail lights for the R32!! using stock tails so you dont have the bling look of the aftermarkit ones. And just to have something full custom! then ill sell them!!

hahahah and no im not just going to bung a led blobe in the back... lmao

Cool!

Xizor, let me know what turns up in the kit :)

Also, the stuff was coming via snail mail yeah? Just need to know when to look out for it ;)

hahahaha.... they will be ok when the dial plates are over them! lmao

you can always go hard core like me and have so much stuff that lights up that people call it the star ship enterprise!!!

yeah it should take about 3 days max! well maybe 4!

cheers dudes.

    • Hows your intake piping? Are you still running stock? Having in the stock AFM position would mean, if the BOV was shut/venting out, it'd create the almost stalling kind of effect right // "the rich pulse behaviour" due to MAF thinking air is flowing ? But this would be better than having the bov in the stock position + MAF on/just before cross over piping right?
    • Essentially, yes. Although I wouldn't put the AFM on the crossover pipe. I'd want to put it into what amounts to the correct size tube, which is more easily done in the intercooler pipework. I bought a mount tube for card stile AFM that replaces the stock AFM - although being a cheap AliExpress knockoff, it had not flange and I had to make and weld my own. But it is the same length and diameter as the stock RB AFM, goes on my airbox, etc etc. I don't have a sick enough rig to warrant anything different, and the swap will take 5 minutes (when I finally get around to it and the injectors & the dyno tune).
    • So to summarise, the best thing to do is to move recirc to between turbo and IC, and maf on the crossover pipe. Meaning I'd need a recirc flange, drill a hole in the piping on turbo outlet area. And drill hole on crossover to fit/weld maf sensor? Either that or put the MAF on the turbo inlet right?  Is an aftermarket recirc/blowoff valve recommended? Do currently have family in Japan so could probably bring something back with maybe a cheeky lil SuperAutobacs run?
    • Yep, so far most have said that it looks like corrosion on the wall from piston not moving. Which then has probably damaged the oil rings and caused those vertical marks. The longest the engine was still after the rebuild, was the winter of 2018 - 2019, plus the boat trip to Japan. When I shipped the car, it had normal gas in the tank but before that winter pause, it had E85 in tank.  In any case, even if either one of those was the cause, it happened close to 6 years ago and the car has been driven something like 30 000kms after the fact. Again, apart from the plugs and the dip stick, there is nothing in the way the car runs that would indicate what has been going on in the engine. I am going to consult a shop and ask their opinion, what would be the best approach. I do have some access to a garage I could use to diagnose further myself, but time is very restrictive. Might end up buying another engine that could be used while this one is being remedied. Without pulling the head, it will be impossible to find out if it needs another bore, but here's to hoping a hone would suffice.  Goddamnit, I would really have preferred this not happening.
    • Boot is going to be replaced eventually. I just wire brushed what I could and rust converted. Then painted in rust kill primer. the spoiler also got repainted and plugs replaced on the ends. The under side of the bonnet is going to be black also, currently white. But red on the top side, same colour code as the silo to begin.
