Buyer / Seller feedback forum

hey mods,

on a tech forum I used to trade cd's on, we had a feedback forum where if you were a buyer/seller/trader you would put a thread with the subject as your nick name, then in it put your real name and contact details. After anyone has bought or sold to you and they are happy // not happy they post comments.

I think it would be good, cos then ppl would know who they can trust with Direct deposits etc...

This has been tried on other forums (vendor verdicts etc.)

You run into the standard liability/defamation issues.

www.austech.info - they are pretty huge and havent had a problem.

If the mods like the idea - im happy to moderate.

You will find that there are not often deflamatory posts in there, cos it is up to the buyer/seller to put their name in, then people can respond.

I think it would be good so if you were selling to XX, you could check in the forum, see that XX has had good dealings with other forum members, so then it gives u some idea of how trustworthy the person is.

hmm... not much response..

i think it would show who of us are honest even if we just posted our nicks and people could reply saying they had sold or bought and had good dealings.

At least then if u have seen someone who has had 20 good dealings with other members, your pretty sure they r going to be good to u too.
